  1. A pic from today
  2. So far she owes me Lorry 10k Fabricating £1,300 Paint 750£ I also had a door re sprayed for £100 One 6 weekly at £100 Tax £200 Insurance through trust £950 Drop plate for tow bar £40 I don't have a calculator handy to add it up. All plus the vat I must say that the 10 class (mines 11) is quite expensive in comparison to 7.5 and 18tonners but I really love mine it's all things to me I can back it it into a drive way easy Mines also a 170 brake, it's a bit underpowered and can smell a hill so go bigger if you can
  3. Yer very have chip all over the cab and gearbox now, I stuck a bit of board there as a temp measure, I intended to make a chip curtain which I can lift and drop when I find a old curtain sider, Maybe a roof mesh too soon like we have in our trannie. Today...
  4. Ay, kept the original cage on the front so I could see, I have to stand on a few chogs to see high enough and then it's constant game of looking up over and under to see, especially like today when we could only load from the back. I don't think the amber beacon on the back is going to last long. Was it a big job to get stand up controls? I'd like a remote conversion but then I'd also like to be able to eat for the rest of the year
  5. Dunno, I toot at everyone who has tree on there van or with a chipper, all about sharing the love If you were near Northampton today probably
  6. Cheers guys I'm really happy with it, I was apprehensive at first but had to take the leap. Been trying to get to grips with the grab, waiting for a good second hand one I think. The controls are taking a bit of getting use to, been a while since I used piano key controls, prefer the fluidity of digger style joy sticks. Big chipper is next buy, and a bigger digger,
  7. From the front, can only post one pic on ipad
  8. Where we was working had a weigh bridge, 4 and a bit legal transit loads in there with 1.6 tonne to spare, Unfortunately I spec'd the back doors wrong so the tiny wolf won't chip in there, time for a bandit
  9. Fabricating done, Paint done Operators licence done 6 weekly check done No airhorn yet though First day out today loving truck club
  10. I did the rear and found it fairly easy Worst was that I could only get the seal from ford, ouch
  11. Nice to have a break
  12. Saw this odd set up today
  13. I've always found the nationwide hire firms next to useless to deal with. Not saying fr is but the like of hss, speedy etc who you. Would partner with are always un helpful
  14. Those of a unimog driving state of thinking might use this exemption vehicles used by agricultural, horticultural, forestry, farming or fishery businesses for carrying goods within 100km of where the business is based
  15. I've never see anyone pulled in there though and our yard is about a mile from It They do sometimes hang around on slip roads, possibly napping
  16. Is that a twin horn? Core That's what I want or might get a full rack
  17. Those prices sounds like a agency fee Interim was 70£ or close to Paper advert was £150 or there about of course different local rags may charge different
  18. And the interim licence fee is a con You can apply yourself it's easy
  19. Application for a licence £257 Issue of a licence £401 Continuation of a licence after 5 years £401 Issue of an interim licence £68 6 weekly checks 110£ + vat My truck tax for my daf is £200 per year lf45 11tonner Insurance was £950 fully comp no no claims through trust It guzzles diesel Needs a big airhorn which i understand is compulsory if you want to look cool there £180 Was going to start a what airhorn thread but resisted Also sorry for jumping gun earlier Xxx
  20. There's been a few threads on this and I keep meaning to do a tot up
  21. Keep up! there's a very thread running already with just all you need
  22. I think there pretty good for payload as not a big lorry with little feet, Bloke near me has one and I'm sure claimed 4 tonne, but that was a long time ago and pub talk. To me Unladen weight should be a published figure and advertised, although I know this changes
  23. It's only because there 3 houses down the road, It's just the application ball ache once the applications in my hand should be fine, It's partially my fault as I applied for 6 Arctics as have another venture up in. mind too Typical dealing with government office burocracy and inefficiently
  24. Restricted, Strict times of leaving, no maintaine on site, no Sundays after 2, explain how many trips a day. Right pain, taking ages, lorry is being fabricated at moment
