  1. yep they are a good saw and lovely to handle as i bought a new one before christmas, BUT they are nowhere near as good as a Husky 550XP.
  2. is it possible to orientate the puller legs so as they slot through the round holes on that pulley rather than the outer edges? May not be an even application of pulling force though and i guess yer mate will have pressed it off by now!
  3. Kev why not move to the south east as yer missus will have a lot of commuting from the midlands to London? Prolly best to ring up some companies and ask them what their minimum requirement is for qualifications and go from there? Good luck with the move (sher they're all mad over here!)
  4. be interesting to see a shoot out between the 45 and 26.
  5. so i was right! a fitter/dealer (dunno which one) made a comment about this 45hp Evo some weeks back and lets the cat out of the bag. Looks to be a great machine. Wonder why the infeed roller position was changed on the 45hp version versus the 26hp one?
  6. i reckon that rope activated throttle is the business as you can stand well clear if need be and not have to run over to set the enjun back to idle, plus i'd prefer a 2T power plant over 4T despite PCW stating their unit can run at any angle. I have spoken to a chap that ran a 4T capstan winch and they encountered problems when it tilted over during use. The big Eder has a 1800kg straight line pull or 3600kg when used with a pully block so i'd be after one of those as ya may as well go 'full fat' and not 'semi skimmed' if ya know what i mean. The price is a bit salty though at over 2k!
  7. Eder Powerwinch is a handy bit of kit. will hopefully buy one this year.
  8. Is there any way i can get about 12 ton of Poplar collected by a crane lorry and taken away free of charge or can i make some money out of it? It'll be in lengths and ranges in diameter from 20'' to 30'' ?
  9. the rubber intake boot beneath the carb. can get pulled out of it's location which i think means it will draw air and cause idling issues.
  10. it's a 'Brexit Special', kinda loike a 357 Magnum crossed with a Sierra Cosworth and emblazoned with a Union Jack and a pic. of Churchill giving it the V's with a fat ceegar stuffed in his mouth.
  11. Have ya any more info on these, a product code off of the packaging etc. please? My local Lidl has none atm. No bodder, i found them on the net, thanks.
  12. 45 Hoss power EVO....
  13. welcome. where ya from?
  14. I'm salivating loike a rabid dog.
  15. full fat and none of this skimmed or semi skimmed rubbish in the form of an Evo 165 using a 34hp Kubota enjun.
  16. so rough here i couldn't even be boddered to start the pickup and go down the pub!
  17. Grim as Brendan is blowing the place asunder down here.
  18. hope he spills the beans soon as i'm off out for a 'Dame Edna' at early doors.
  19. i may just sit here and stare at the screen in readiness!
  20. the QC200 i spotted was way way way over 750kg, twas in fact about 1800kg when i looked at the VIN plate, a fair ole unit cos when viewed from afar it looks identical to a regular QC till ya get up close and realise it is big.
  21. i've actually seen that machine as have a few udders.
  22. Dunno if it is a strato saw Wes, i'll do some research and get back to ya.
  23. no cat inside this echo while my other 4 Echos do have them, wonder why? The exhaust on the 501SX is virtually an empty box.
  24. I may remove the baffle tube from my 501SX then as i have put a lot of fuel thru it and although it's a good lightweight saw 'it lacks the necessary minerals' despite removing the spark arrestor. I had it tach'd after it had 1 tank of fuel thru it from new and it's 1800rpm below what Echo state it should max out at. I will report back my findings.
