  1. hi guys i am looking at getting some new chainsaw trousers and have been told the stihl hi flex and sips are very good for climbing but was wondering which is better or if there are any others that you would recommend.

  3. Cant see how you may need to pole climb on a 38? maybe it depends on the assessor? If your in lincoln, have a chat with Mr Rowbottom@Riseholme about having a go up a pole. cheers yeah mr rowbottom is my tutor cause you came to our college afew weeks ago i think it was you anyway cause you took steve and gary to climb but yeah thanks we did have a few goes now

  6. i agree with ya i have used both the sequoia and austrian duo 3 and they are so comfortable definately best harnesses i have ever worn
  7. hope your okay now!! but i agree hard hats are needed the amount of times small pegs have fallen and got my helmet
  8. hey i have my cs 38 on the 29th march and quite nervous and wondering if there are any helpfull tips ??? would be muchly appreciated
  9. that is ridiculous why would you make fake climbing equipment exspecially when it means they can snap very easily and a danger.

  11. yeah know what you mean we had days where all the mahcines are messing up and just wont start due to the fricking cold weather :L
  12. OMG that was just crazy :L no chance get me doing it free cimbing maybe strapped in but still might still find it quite scary man
  13. i have to say i am not very keen on the dragonfly harness at all.
  14. i just use prussik but have had a go with a lockjack and have to say they make life alot easier

  16. well personally i like most people on here have a skylotec harness which are pretty comfortable and good for when in then for a long time. but i have been told that sequoia harness is pretty good. but i agree with most try before you buy.
  17. you just basically need most of the ticketgs before you can get one so cs30, cs31, cs38 and cs39. top handles can only be used in a tree tho due to higher kickback risk but they are pretty good saws alround and you also have to have a lot of training with them tho.

  20. i have my cs31 assessment on tuesday 15th june and bit worried and would appreciate any help or tips for my assessment.

  23. im only a student so i havent got much experience with top handled saws but i ahve used both the husky and stihl. and i have to say i prefer the stihl ton the husky. but i will say huskys are still good but i prefer stihls.
