id be tempted to go with that, but the spread on the crown is massive, not shy about doing them if they are pretty pole like but with this if it went wrong I d struggle to escape, either way im excited about doing it, don't get many to do like this! Josharb, will leave whatever s left standing as habitat, luckily thay are very switched on clients !

building is about 200yrds away, if you look really closely at the first pic you can see a hair line crack runnin about half way across trunk, I would be very wary about putting a saw into it, reckon a gentle tug ll be all it needs

went to price this beech today, customer said on phone it had a slight split in th trunk, I think its slightly worse than that! due there a week Monday to fell it, but I will be amazed if its still standing, gonna put winch cable up high (with a throw line! don't think anyone would climb that), drop the ground anchor and tear it out. anyone got a preferable alternative?

Sounds about right, had oil breather pipes off and it's pushing through hard, does run very lumpy for first few minutes, bluish smoke, so burnin some also , how long till it goes bang!? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
