  1. Oh, I thought that was industry best practice! Better up my game!!
  2. Steak and chips, or minced beef. I'll get me coat
  3. Mog does sound a bit pricey tbh, although it's probably what you should be charging! I personally wouldn't pay that much, on the other hand tracked chipper with operator price seems a bit cheap, take £100 off your mog and put 50 on tracked chipper.(imo)
  4. He wanted to get £500 for the wood, 100 quid for moving it, I've sold £400 worth provisionally. I'm getting good money on the job, I'm in a much better situation to sell the wood than he is, he's a valued repeat customer. It's no real problem for me.
  5. Hang on a minute, I priced the job at a fair price for both me and the client, he wants to try and recoup some of his costs selling timber. There are several people lined up to buy it, however trying to get them all to the site at the same time when finishing job won't happen. Easiest for me to clear it all and leave a tidy site and recoup the dosh over a couple of weeks. I won't lose any money. The job is tidier and customer happy. What's the problem
  6. Now that is heavy duty, bet you manage to bend one anyway!
  7. Will have some whopping macs at end of September, keep you posted
  8. I'm gonna get it all shifted to yard, it's gonna owe me £600 by the time it's shifted/paid customer.
  9. IME they aren't the best on dead stuff, well my cs100 didn't like it anyway
  10. Might be doing a job with a huge amount of maccy available, customer wants to sell anything over 12". There are some cracking stems there. Taunton, 07798718536
  11. Brittle as well, gets a bit clenchy when I'm nearing the tips!
  12. Reductions have a habit of doing that, think I'll be out of here by lunch and still dicking about at 4!
  13. Thank you! It's still going strong, good chipper, nice one
  14. Anyone one know how much torque on the blade bolts? Mislaid the manual...... Cheers. On a 222!
  15. After a 3.5t tipper if anyone's got one kicking about, pref with chip/toolbox, within 100 miles of Taunton would be handy as well! £5,000 max. Nice one.
  16. Yeah, was fiddly over the workshop, but all done, no damage, was at a dementia care home, couldn't wait to get out of there, constant screaming and pleas for help. Horrible!
  17. You should send some photos to classic commercial magazine, they have a feature about oldlorrys still earning their keep
  18. Sorting some willows, last one was a pita, right over a work shop
  19. It was like that when I got there, honest guv
  20. Bit of willow reduction @ glasto
