  1. So, three prison meals would be 90 pence if each meal costs 30 pence each? Where did the average (recorded) £2.07 come from?
  2. In 2017 Prison govenors averaged £2.07 a day to feed and water a convicted criminal each day on a mass scale, explain how that can be done for 30 pence per day for a single person.
  3. Explain your above comment then?
  4. Oh dear! MOST people claiming benefits are in work. Do you want to try again Rodney?
  5. Yes, once a week, but can, would you want to do it everyday? And I doubt you could do it for 30 pence, don't forget where this post started! Your Grandad was correct, everything in moderation, including moderation!
  6. Link us up and show us what you've read.
  7. Nope, before you make such statements have a look at how healthy processed frozen peas and carrots are. Oh, and fish fingers!?
  8. Try not to talk like a prick for a change.
  9. Did you read what I wrote? Explain in laymans terms how a pensioner or someone with a serious illness ups their income. Forget about the wasters, talk about those folk on a fixed income.
  10. Devils advocate, where do you keep these chickens when you live in a third story flat with no garden? I'm not doubting people can eat cheaply and still have a good diet, what I am doubting is it can't be achieved on 30 pence a day for very long. This isn't just my take on it, Tory backbenchers booed him.
  11. This is where we disagree, not everyone who is struggling to afford decent food is a dosser. Everything from food, utilities and fuel is going up in price yet wages are stagnating. Serious question, how do people who can't up their income due to age/illness keep soaking up the cost of living?
  12. And how long would you like to live on a shit diet like that?
  13. The Mirror was selective in its reporting. Do yourself a favour and watch exactly what he said and the response it got from both sides of the house. We will never do away with the feral, feckless and long time useless, which I care not a jot about, but when working people are struggling to make ends meet it's time for change.
  14. Feed them scraps from a 30 pence meal, get real.
  15. I'd forgotten about that, must try to catch up with it again...
  16. I disagree, you (I) couldn't cook a single meal from scratch for 30 pence, a bog standard cheese omelette costs more than 30 pence before you've fired up the hob to cook it. He sparked fury from both sides of the house. He's talking complete and utter bollox.
  17. Meals for 30p/day, not allegedly, what he said in the commons. So, so far detached. Tory MP moans poor people 'can't cook properly' and boasts meals only cost 30p - Mirror Online WWW.MIRROR.CO.UK Ashfield Conservative MP Lee Anderson claimed "generation after generation" of people in his constituency "cannot...
  18. Let's get this right, what Mark does/likes determines what you do/watch. Nothing as queer as folk.
  19. I'll just leave this here.
  20. I don't know anyone selling GH64. Was this a useful comment? Try this fella mate: 01284 387000, he's a Brian James dealer but normally has loads of secondhand stuff in.
  21. I'm sat with a mate who is a manager on the rails. He says the above statement should keep you well away from the network forever, his words, not mine.
  22. An artical from news today, the 7th of May? Splitting hairs, but...
  23. Isn't that always the case, out of interest where are you based?
  24. I was thinking local timber but now you've mentioned it I quite like the idea of reclaimed timber, if I go down the reclaimed route I'll post pictures here if I'm not sure what the timber is.
  25. Near enough, immigration from the Indian subcontinent started in the 50's, as you say, to fill the labour gap.
