Just been offered an artic load of seasoned chestnut(not put a moisture meter on it yet)the fella selling wants to sell by volume,which is fair enough by me.My question is, if the said artic would carry 25ish ton of unseasoned wood how many m3 of seasoned wood would be on the lorry?Thanks Simon. ps hope this makes sense

  10. I rent a barn on a farm where there are two other firewood merchants,there are another three firewood merchants within barely a square mile, we all seem to get a living.I wouldnt worry about it,if your logs are good you wont have any problem selling them

  17. hi all,who do you chaps use for insurance,ive just been turned down on insurance by the nfu,was trying to get cover for my kubota 820 plus firewood processor and was told that because the tractor and processor were not at my address they would not provide cover,tractor and processor are stored in a barn that i rent a few miles up the road.any ideas who i should try next,many thanks in advance.Simon

  22. hi all, a mate of mine as about 3 tansit loads of mixed wood that anybody can have f.o.c its in Ely Cambridge i think its a mix of coni/cherry,but i havent seen it myself so how much of each im not sure,the wood must be cleared by this saturday11/9/10,intrested? send pm
