  1. Most have? Unlike you to make a spoiling mistook.
  2. It’s nonsense; we went on a site in Cambridge some years back, we had a young lad with us with no card, the bloke running the site wouldn’t have him on site until we said we would all have to leave, miraculously he let the young lad on site.
  3. He recommends him, but pretty much everyone who is recommended by an ex prime minister gets a knighthood. I realise Stanley Johnson has been a life long environmentalist but apart from that I can’t see why he should be recommended.
  4. Should Boris Johnson be allowed to award his father a knighthood?
  5. Can’t help with the initial question but, isn’t CO2 heavier than oxygen. I thought that CO2 monitors should be mounted at head height, not on ceilings.
  6. Thank ya, I’ll take you up on the offer when I come over. On a side note, the ferry in summer is extortionate (for my rig) compared with out of season… not surprising but, f’me.
  7. I’m temped to buy it so I can ponce on ya driveway for a week. I-o-W is on the list.
  8. Not quite wildlife, went to a mate of a mate today who keeps this. I think he said it was an, highland corn boa, don’t quote me on that, drink had been taken.
  9. Thank ya, I’ve seen them on the ‘skew’ before, just not that far.
  10. Why are these tree supports on that angle? Picture nicked off Facebook from a neighbouring village.
  11. I understand the attraction of going abroad, I still think about it. For the long term, learn your trade well while you are being paid. It will pay dividends.
  12. I’d stay a while and learn your trade properly, that said, I didn’t. I went to Spain and found work and got more experience, that was only a bit of luck due to meeting a Mancunian in a bar who was running a firm over there.
  13. Depending on which figures you look at, Sweden reduced their carbon emissions more than any other per capita.
  14. What did the Romans ever do for us…
  15. Is it underinvestment, or something else? Stoke (for example) is a massive hub with huge distribution warehouses that stand next to rundown sites, couldn’t theses sites be redeveloped to grow our fruit and veg with recovered heat?… I know I’m miles off money, I’d like to think it could work.
  16. Drax is one of a few, go out on the fens and look at the derelict glasshouses that cover tens of acres where heat was provided by industry that is long gone.
  17. I’ve no idea, even on a tiny scale heat recovery works well, a friend of mine heats his water from the exhaust of his diesel heater in his camper.
  18. To an extent, in my last place I had a good size garden with a veg plot and a fair size greenhouse and what was left of an orchard, fruit and veg was plentiful. Does that mean I shouldn’t be able to access out of season fruit and veg?
  19. About right.
  20. A BLT will never be the same again.
  21. I think I’ve been to the same pub.
  22. Not a joke, this did make me smile mind…
  23. Can’t help with the Ecoplugs, I use Makita battery tools and never had a problem with them. A lad I work with occasionally swears by Milwaukee, I just can’t justify the money for the environments I work in.
