  1. Was it reasonable dollar? masons chippers seem to be quite pricey now
  2. but the makers put the plate on it also? dont push my luck then basically
  3. one i've spotted is braked also
  4. Most are the dual mass flywheel but there are solid flywheel conversions. That looks like its had a few aggressive drivers to rip the friction material off. Should easy get 60k out of one. Easy job if you wanted, clutch kit about 100.00 flywheel maybe 150-200.00 labour at a garage not much
  5. Work positioning is everything as you say 100%
  6. As you say saw shouldnt come anywhere near the bridge, but it does say you should have a secondary anchor at all times when cutting. Most of the time most folk use the side d's.
  7. Not with you? In all fairness you come over as an arrogant know it all on an internet forum allus picking up on something someones written. Whatever floats your boat really, bit sad though
  8. Ive a full phat jensen a530t and was considering changing that or getting a road tow for the domestics to save on towing weight around etc. Happened to spot on e of these that looks a genuine little chipper
  9. [quote name=jrose;1530740 In my opinion' date=' a second bridge would get in the way 99% of the time and serve no real function[/quote] Most likely the case
  10. Thats exactly how he is im afraid pal! A second bridge could be a great idea! I often climb with a main line and a smaller line connected on same bridge. Hardly wver use side d's unless on a take down and a wire strop

    Wages

Sorry its just the 80.00 figure is a catalyst for some folk on here

    Wages

Now if i said that i would have a load of arseholes jump down on me! Though not sure in employed rates I have realised now that the lads at 80.00 a day arnt much cop at all. Once of a day a lad at 80.00 a day would be good, now theyre fresh out of college and crap. This is a great subject for eggs, he'll be along shortly
  13. Also wasnt the 125 lighter?
  14. It certainly is something to think about. You can buy a second hand chipper (diesel) for 7-10k but you never know what your getting, where as these are only a smidge more for a new chipper plus the dreadded. Ive used some tw125 and thought they are an ace little chipper and light weight to boot! My only concern with one would be: Are the flywheel bearings now greasable? What are the fins on flywheel made out of? Is it still a restrictive 6-6 opening? Also worth a look at the gm130?
  15. I tow 1850kg behind the transit daily, quite often 2250kg and it handles it fine. Esp with a remap. One problem for you Bob may be that theres a lot of drivers? Im owner operator Im als considering buying a towbehind chipper to go along side the tracky again, just sick of looking!!!
  16. So technically the van can be loaded to the mythical 3500. But i can also tow the 2800 behindnit as the logbook says even thought the vin plate says different?
  17. Hi there, Just wondering on the differences between the jensen a530 and the 750 contractor?2010-2012 Is the flywheel and blades the same? Is it just a smaller engine 3cyl turbo. Are they up to the job? Cheers
  18. Sorry yes, gtw of 5750kg and only 2250 towing, says 2800 in logbook. Sorry for confusion
  19. Anyone know where i stand with this? Transit plated at 2250kg train weight but says 2800 on logbook.... Im up at 2250 quite a lot, was wondering which i should go by as 2800 would give more scope for a bigger chipper. Cheers
  20. Yes going great now thanks. Trailers are working well and making life easier and more efficient. Just need to get tractor on dyno and see where its at
  21. I sometimes pick up with the tractor them ratchet strap the cage to the head stock then tilt them as much as possible to empty into the back of the truck
  22. Whats the cm180 like in comparison to the tw190? I think they are a fair comparison? Noticed the gm is a few hundred kg heavier! Wonder where all the weight comes from?
  23. Still sat here puzzeled about the box cut
  24. Champion, will do cheers
