  1. Clip into the chest sling and just pull on the rope above it. The line will just drop through if the tail is running free and if not it only needs a little flick. Ive tried clipping a revolver into my bridge ring to capture the line and work as a fairlead pulley but its just a pain the butt.. Marcus and Jack, Im not seeing Richard tonight, his flight was running late and therefore doesnt have time to squeeze in a social. Have a look on his website and just drop him an email. Im fairly confident he will ship to the states MagThrowBag at the bottom of the page

  3. Totally... but all the cool kids break the rules
  4. Or just climb single line altogether
  5. Not sure if he will post there. I know he will post to the UK so I dont see why not. I hope its dirty already btw!! It was 45 bucks for the drum and I think delivery to the uk was an extra 15. I got them in the states though. I think Jack wants one too. Strangley, I'm supposed to be meeting Richard on monday for a pint and to chat drums.. he has a 24 hour layover in london.. I will ask.
  6. Have you tried a rolling hitch? Its halfway between a clove hitch and a tautline hitch. Give the rope a bit of room to roll in a shockload so it doesnt get a load of force on one set point like it does with a half hitch and a running bowline..
  7. I learnt all my best tricks from Dadio
  8. Nice Matt, cant beat a good smash down
  9. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMk8Il35Gmw]Rope Guide Ground to Air Install featuring Double Snapper on Retrieval - YouTube[/ame]
  10. In the wrapped descent mode. One further wrap locks it off as the tail jams between the drum and the rope coming into the top of the uni:001_smile:
  11. So I got a drum attachment for the Uni and Richard Mumford designer of the drum was kind enough to throw in some ali protectors for the bottom bar too, along with some other little bits such as the aviation tape to try out. So far I am really impressed. Easy to attach, doesnt impede the normal function of the uni in any way and it will certainly decrease the wear on the uni top and bottom plate. Even better you can lock it off now, which helps when your unicender is as worn out as mine!!
  12. Hahaha Oh dear cole... WWWWWWhat happened?
  13. Sheet yea Matty, I don't know what you were worrying about LOL.. I would have been a bit twitchy too!
  14. Good old Trev at tree gear! If you make it down to Melbourne check out the shop! Onelab off here works in the there part time with Trev. Hope the job and lifestyle is working out for you so far Marcus!
  15. Cinch!!
  16. Looking forward to having a play on it.. worst comes to worst, I can drill out the rivets and go back to using it with the wrench.. With new go faster holes:sneaky2:
  17. I got mine from treestuff.com but it was when I was living in Oz. A guy I work with bought one from treestuff recently, delivered to the uk for around 150/160gbp I think... I don't think it was more than 200 anyway
  18. Looks like he didnt keep enough tension on the eye while burying, so the core bunched up over the cover taper. Used arb ropes are tough going.
  19. Game on cole Lets have a race
  20. Sheet yeaaa Marcus Just got a drum attachment fitted to mine. Not tried it yet !!
  21. grab the rope in your hand and squeeze it tight, feel the thickness as your slide your hand along it. It should taper away smoothly and then become the same thickness as the rest of the rope. If it tapers away, then goes thinner than the rest of the rope and then back up to normal thickness it could be a dodgey splice. Under load you might be able to feel it better. If you are still unsure, show it to a experienced hand splicer near you. If you feel its dodgey and so do they, just cut it off and resplice. Its not worth having it in the back of your mind 50ft up in the air when you are about to snatch a top
  22. The only cons I can think of are the price and potential to clip into the stitches instead of one leg of the snake anchor. However, you would have to be a right plonker to do that..
  23. Yeah Tommy, there were some french dudes that had a video of that somewhere a while back. Seems like it could work well once you have your main point for the tree set
  24. That's because you are conditioned to climbing DdRT and have not going SRT planning and muscle memory down yet. Stick at it and it will come
