  1. Mint:thumbup: had one just like it with micron pipes. MMM 30 year a go that was!
  2. with the 280 you can ring up the bigger stuff and drop into the splitter, 18inch-20ish, you,ll be happy with either machine i,m sure.

You need a good wife, that can make the house keeping go futher and is happy with you and does not feel the need to out spend the nighbours, new cars big tv,s are not important, also kids love their dad been around, we live on £100-£150 a week and are well fed and happy, Your life needs to match your income!
  4. We have a 280 a nice well built machine with a circular saw. can,t fault it, The 280 weighs 1034,kgs and the 1x37 590,kgs! So the 280 is worth more as scrap!

  6. been using a greenmech 100 today, v twin petrol i was impressed and it fits in the back of a sprinter van.

  10. Arb work is a bit like big hairdressing!
  11. we use an old 154se with an 18 inch bar for ringing up beech, it,s just fine.
  12. It,s great out in the woods with your mates with big toys to play with, We don,t make a fortune but i look forward to going to work and i am HAPPY!
  13. we use them to light pathways when we have parties in our woods, smell is not an issue, had good results with silver birch.

Had nothing important to do today, so i cut up an old horse box, floor was rotton. so cut the top off and removed the floor, started to weld some steel on to it, to make a trailer for running timber from my woods back to our yard, got a low center of gravity and 4 wheel brakes, so should carry a good load behind a 4x4. will finish of the fabrication work tomorrow and free the brakes off and friday a coat off Cat yellow, total cost not including my time £170:thumbup:
  15. nipped up? take the exhaust off and have a look at the piston see if piston ring is stuck in ring groove with ally smeared over it.
  16. had the front wheels off the ground on up changes! and nearly headbutted the windscreen on a down change!
  17. 1412 db with the crazy hydra-shift!
