  1. No don,t use the legs when using the timber grab, truck weighs 16 ton and has no falling over issuses. Also i,ve got the grab and rotator piped through the leg control valves, for lifting heavy stuff i take the grab off and reconnect the legs to the controls, one day i,l fit the extra controls for the legs, maybe when i fit the big old winch:thumbup:
  2. that is SO DANGEROUS! Trip up fall on it and lose an arm at the very least!
  3. I,m on the look out for a big old hydraulic winch to mount on the front bumper of my Foden 6x6, bigger the better:thumbup: was so wet on friday had to select 6 wheel drive and difflocks to get up the hill out of the forest! think fitting a winch maybe a good idea.
  4. Great photos, love the proper old kit.
  5. The business stagnates? does that mean it,s ticking over nicely turning a profit?
  6. we have full tea making facilities in the kitchen side locker of the truck:thumbup:

  9. My missus 320 E Class Merc, is the same year and cost 400 pounds 2 years a go, paints not shiney but reliable and comfy and very fast and my sprinter van was 600 pounds i,ve a whole fleet for less than the price of an old french skoda!
  10. been doing the same today, fitting a big grab and rotator to our foden, 36 metres of hose 230 pounds!!!! then all the fittings another 100 pounds, but it,s done now so off to work tomorrow.
  11. Better than the end of the crank snapping off!
  12. 4x4 tractor is a nice luxury 5500 pounds and upwards, 2wd tractors 1750 pounds and upwards some with front loaders, the leyland in the photo was 1800 pounds with high lift loader gripe and bale spike and yes i,d swop it for a 4x4 tractor, only costs incured with the leyland for 12 months use has been an oil change!
  13. Leyland tractors are better than leyland cars! but they do have a morris 1000 steering wheel!
