  6. Did anyone see the program last night about the Honister Slate Mine and the fight to gain planning permission for a 1 mile long zip wire, what did you think about the part, The Friends of The Lake District and Natural England played in the program?
  7. we just use the discovery we travel to work in, 4 choker chains hooked on the the tow ball pull 4 larch out at a time or 1 or 2 if it,s really wet, we have tractors but it,s much easier using the disco.
  8. free delivery up to ten miles, but the delivery charge is already in the price of the dumpy, so we knock 5 pounds off if people collect and charge an extra fiver or tenner for deliverys over 10 miles depending on distance.

  17. I,ve got the trailer the crane attaches to, just thought it maybe handy at times to attach it to the 3 point linkage, then it could feed a delimber. Anyone got a delimber for sale? probley make a cage for the cab, with a rest for the arm on top of the cab and a frame on the nose for the grab to hold on to. Anyone got an old cage i could use as a starting point?
  18. use solid bags and melt vent holes in them with a blow torch, just bought another hundred solids for 40p each, they will be filled and blow torched!
  19. I,m on refurbing a old LV Star 3 point linkage mounted timber crane, Question where do you park the crane when driving the tractor? do you put it over the roof and use the grab to hold on to frame on the nose of the tractor? the frame and bar i don,t have but could make.

  21. got a couple of David Brown geeks interested as it,s very rare to find one with no dents or rot in the tin work. looking 2000 grand plus an engine.
