  1. Just to clarify it comes in at 3.2t with the trailer and loaded up. I just re read it and it sounded like it came in at 2.7t loaded.
  2. It's a multitel Smx250. There's quite a few using these now to be honest and I think a couple of members on here too. Comes in at 2.7t with a full tank and loaded onto my 3.5t beavertail trailer I can tow it behind one of my empty canters. I used to hire only when needed with mewps but over the last few weeks I've realised that they can just boss stuff easily and from a distance.
  3. A few recent bits, mainly mewp related [emoji23][emoji23].
  4. A tried to get some footage in an order of the final few pops we were removing. I hope you all enjoy and are being safe in this mad world.
  5. Hi john, Even better that the lads are keener than me to carry them out. [emoji23][emoji23] I use final cut Pro on the imac, its total overkill for what I need to be honest. I can only assume I purchased it back when I thought I was going to be some arb movie star. Good news for everyone when that never happend. [emoji23]
  6. A few clips I have recently recorded on the drone and with this free time I've had this weekend I thought I'd put it together. Hope you enjoy it,
  7. Tidy, I've been watching young Jay Stirling playing around with his recently. He's in love with it over the runner.
  8. The leggings are what I wear all winter and have had mine for about 4 years. Bloody well made imo.
  9. We gave them a cost for the day and they said yes. All I know to be honest.
  10. Mainly Scots pine. The pile of oak was left for employees firewood.
  11. A nice Friday chipping up some timber for the national trust. Its going on to be used on woodland paths mainly. Nice day to be doing some easy work, just a shame the forwarder guy doesn't know the difference between 12 inch and 16 inch diameter as we had to break a few down.
  12. It's probably fair if I give the species. Eucalyptus so that would narrow it down a bit. I can see where you got photinia as jenny said the same today.
  13. Just had these delivered today and thought I'd see how may AT members know what they are. Correct answers get my respect as I know I wouldn't have a clue if I hadn't ordered them.
  14. Heavy decline from bleeding canker, most the top sections had died off already sadly.
  15. Had a nice easy day removing these chestnuts. Easy rigging, easy mewp work, great first day back.
  16. I ended up going direct to multitel in the UK. Never got a demo but managed to go to a mate in Manchester who has one and have a go/look/play. Greg Moore is the guy you want to get hold of. [emoji41]
  17. Don't forget ATs Mr Mark Bolam and his world famous 200t guitar. [emoji23][emoji450][emoji23] That also happened to be the very first time I met him at Justin's show.
  18. Sadly I've been resting up since Friday last week after coming down with this cold everyone seems to have around me. So locked away at home and everything's been a bit normal and not chrotsmas oriented sadly which I must say is a very weird scenario. Hope you have had a lovely Christmas day yourself. Hopefully a few drinks with family. It's a platform made by multitel. 25m working height (22.5m to top of basket) with a 12.5m side reach. All for 2.5t in weight. There's a few companies that have been running them for a while now and for me they seem ideal for tree work. I went for it of a few main reasons other than its weight. It's gets me and the team off the ropes more frequently and as we're now using the hellishly slow learning curve of 2 main anchors I need to gain as much efficency back as possible. My business model is setup on maximising efficency over my local competition as I sure as hell cannot beat them on day rates but can currently out produce the vast majority by a significant margin. Just like how the big boys like kingswell would make me look like I slept in the van on a large scale removal job. We will do hires through a friend's tree company as he already does hires with his 20m truck mewp so we've chatted about him doing our hires so we can do other tasks as a team rather than losing a member for a day. I'm just trying to save up to replace the digger now but that won't happen for a while as yet. Heres the YouTube video.
  19. A multitel Smx250 and placed the order confirmation in a Christmas card to myself. Technically she can't tell me off if its a Christmas gift. [emoji23]
  20. I actually own one and there classed as a dog dummy trainer apparently. Pros: sounds like a cannon, Has a good ability to punch through brambles and fire high over objects for winching, zip lines, dragline etc. Cons: Dummies which I have are quite light sadly. It makes a hell of a noise. Not as accurate as I'd hoped but others may be better than me. I also own 2 air launchers. 1 for throwbags and 1 for throw pods. Not control for height really. Pros: Very accurate, You can adjust the amount of force you put in for height. Easy to Store, Doesn't mind water, Doesn't make a huge sound, Everyone prefers it. Great for setting any type of line application really. Cons: You need a bike pump or compressor with you. There about 1.5m long.
  21. One from the other day. The worse thing was walking into the wet alder Carr to winch it back over at the end.
  22. Just a long limb shearing in the winds. Lebanon cedar and all we will do is tidy up the bit on the floor and remove hangers. Very low targets in regards of people but there is a stone built building circa early 1900s Close by but would only get hit if the top failed in that direction.
  23. Went to assess a fallen limb on this massive cedar. A few AT have climbed this a good few years back when we arranged a reccy climb.
  24. It might be late but have you tried hire myres from myres tree care?
