  1. I am very lucky. Mainly because we both have the same goals and my company is the best financial route. As most are I guess. She also wants to come on board more, doing gardening. She can use a saw and all the machinery. Not too bad at reversing too.
  2. Missus wanted to go up the yard to do some carving. Luckiest has a shocking sense of direction so I convinced her it was enroute. 😂 Just working hard to save for a house really as no ones going to give me a load of money.
  3. A quick 2m reduction on a horse chestnut this morning. Pulled the height below the limes so it gained a bit more protection.
  4. Id imagine so to be honest. It's a long list I've got to get through but enjoying learning about how it runs and works.
  5. Hopefully this will resolve that issue. Tipping frame finished off on the floor. Just need to add some heavier box on the back and put it all on.
  6. Looks like a beast!!! Bet your glad to have it on a conifer hedge, you know the ones that if you had a 6" chipper you'd cry snedding it out.
  7. Crikey John, is that the one from the time lapse? Looks so much bigger that I thought. So I did the thing I try to avoid. Started a dismantle on a Friday.... Mainly used ripping cuts to be honest on the timber sections.
  8. Paul, what size feed is that bad boy?
  9. One was broke. Indeed the springs are copies but expensive copies of which my budget can afford.
  10. Noooooooooooooo *on knees, looking upwards in a classic Hollywood pose (probably in the rain)*
  11. Indeed. A few swear words on some site because of it. But my logic is do it once and do it right. Buy the best I can afford for the project rather than cheaper copies.
  12. I still tell my wife every time we go round a roundabout in Norwich which trees I planted on them. I still think she listens......
  13. One more with the springs and anti roll bar.
  14. So today I ordered a new piece of exhaust. This one was pretty shot to be fair. Got some more metal today for the tipping frame on the Unimog.
  15. Just been sorting the fuel tank out. Nothing of worth posting. Fingers crossed next week I'll need her to lift an oak stem over a hedge. Had a few delays because we cover a lot of commercial contracts so good money comes over days working on my Unimog. In all honestly I'd expected to have her completed by now. But thankfully I have other trucks to cover the overrun.
  16. Sorting this beech out. Decided I didn't fancy climbing it and we rigged light and the minimum we could get away with. The stem before.
  17. Pulham st Mary, so not too far away to be honest. We're about 15 mins south of the stokes.
  18. A little bit of highways work today.
  19. Yeah I'd put a description on another thread. Basically we cut the toes off roughly so we didn't have to fire up the 880. Just a horrendous days job. Used the skid steer and transit to pull it over.
  20. I know that technique well and can confirm it works 76% of the time, every time.
