  13. I,d love to sell all of my logs in bags, I can nearly double the price on a load, but I have absolutely no joy when it comes to selling them in bags/nets
  14. Good point, or moved around the country to the said car boots, I doubt very much that the gear being sold at the York car boot has been stolen in the same county

  18. I got done 4 times in total and it seemed to always be on a wet windy night/morning.for obvious reasons I suppose.

We are talking about professional thieves, this is how they make a living in much the same way as we do by grafting every day, my only advice would be, if you have your saws,chipper etc with you on the way home and have a dodgy vehicle behind you don't go home, make a detour until youv lost them, because as soon as they know where you keep your gear they will hit you. Its a sad state of affairs but that's life:thumbdown:

I once bought an 020 from a bloke I knew, all in good faith, I took it to a stihl dealer to be repaired (electronic ignition) and he pointed out to me that the serial number had been ground off. Obvoiusly that's the first thing to check, I,d also check for numbers welded on it somewhere (hire shop tools) although it could of been bought at an auction. Not sure if theres a database where you can check the serial numbers.

  23. Impossible to put a price on that, look on ebay ,see what gates like that are fetching, put it in an auction if theres one near you, I would imagine a quality gate like that would fetch good money
