  1. i have also seen the plastic rod you are speaking of break all be it on a Husqvarna 13hp.
  2. People base there decisions foremost on price, do you like the machine, is it built to last, do you like the 5yr build warranty, do we have £500,000 worth of spare parts, do we have several engineers, do we give good service, do you know of any bad reports on these machines, do they do what it says on the tin? The answer to all this & more is yes it's a Bandit machine, the price is £4500 + vat in stock. Some of the machines are more expensive but they are top end of the market, I don't know of any single person who has worn one out.
  3. These machines are heavily built, have low maintenance & can accommodate a greater range of input materials. They use primarily direct drive hydraulic systems to run the functions. The chainsaw on these machines only turns when you are cutting, most other units use a belt to turn the sprocket which 1 wears out easily and 2 turns the chain whenever the machine is on. So with those machines you waste a lot of bar oil, and also go through a lot of saw bars and chains. We use a hydraulic saw motor to turn the saw sprocket, so it is only turning when needed. The 1610EZ is the smallest in the range & also the best seller. [ame=http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFaoNJxaKUM]http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFaoNJxaKUM[/ame] 1610 EZ NEW.pdf
  4. Yoy have hit the nail on the head IMO, one wee chippers I have sold to newbies think they are fabulous, the ones I have sold to customers with 6-7" chippers have all had to 'calm down'. They expect the wee chipper to perform the same, it's all about cutting & steady feeding. 3" & 4" material is ok but you have to hold it back from feeding to fast due to no autofeed on these small chippers.

Quite fond of Brands, usually camp for the weekend but didn't want to risk it. But a day out with bikes, babes etc I'm a happy chappy.

Lets not forget Michael Laverty at the back, brilliant racing family. I went to BSB yesterday where he was always at the front but now it must be like going back to school, still he's repesenting the UK & will definately come forward.
  7. Good strong american kit. http://http://multitekinc.com/
  8. Sold a 2010 model a couple of weeks ago, stand was tied up & throttle was converted to manual without cable, sounds similar. If you have looked after it the dealer should stand by you.

I like Marquez in there spicing things up, reminds me of the great no 58 Sic, if he wins he will be a hero, if he fetches someone off the paddock will hate him.
  10. The video above was posted on here with some others but I couldn't locate, the chipper belongs to Treeworx in Northants. I only posted the palm fronds as it was something different to the norm. Sorry dont have other video but you are welcome to try, Bandit machinery chipping well is not an issue I have come across before.
  11. definetely divided depending on where you grew up, did well for the forces & helped people have right to buy. I live in Grantham & we will have a statue here for sure that we will see most days whether love or hate.

Wow bike overload, spent allday at Brands at the BSB & then had to watch GP at night, looks like we will have a more exciting GP this year. Hard luck Cal as he is a contender this year & hard luck Bradley, not a bad start for a rookie.
  15. Our demo machine is currently in Winchester if you want to have a play & we have new ones in stock. There are a few posts on here with pics & video that people have posted. Typical Bandit built machine with the same quality, 5yr build warranty etc etc. They are available as manual push, hydraulically driven & pto versions.
  16. Depends on your outlook, I agree you will never stop the pros but how many thefts are from pros & how many are for a quick few quid. All you can do is hinder the thiefs & this helps, ours will notify you if it is disconnected & also has vibration sensor so if your not to far from your machine you have a chance, i guess if you are some distance away you can only notify the police. A tow hitch helps as does a wheel clamp etc but how many bother until the horse has bolted, I bet there are a few on here that wish they had done more now. Our own machines are tracked with remote shutdown & hours monitored & a discount on our insurance premium.
  17. Please see below for fresh stock new in today, 2550xp hydraulically driven grinder c/w 4WD,radio remote, tether remote, dual wheels,45hp turbo engine, bump control, dozer blade & Greenteeth. Also 990HD 12" drum chipper & 75xp 7" disc chipper in CAT Yellow, if anybody is interested or would like to see these give me a shout.
  18. OK great, let me know if you need further help.
  19. The bolts are for the pockets & are 1/2" diameter, not sure of the pitch but I can find put if you wish. The bolt length varies per model as the thickness of the cutterwheel is different.
  20. We stock these & are agents to fit, for info view tracking units in stolen equipment or try link below. Not a bad investment judging by the amount been stolen in the last year. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/stolen-equipment/51340-tracking-units.html
  21. There are a few questions here & just to clarify, 16mm is a large diameter bolt as ours are only 1/2" (13mm). The torque is 125-150 lbs/ft. Overtightening the bolts is as bad as not tight enough as the bolts will stretch & weaken. On the FSI grinders the bolt spacing on the pockets is not industry std, the spacing is larger meaning you can only purchase the parts from Denmark & you cannot swap between Finger, Green or other unless FSI supply. The Greenteeth can be turned Three times without touching the pocket (pics attached).
  22. I know of a chap that has a machine for sale but wants £2K, not sure if this is an option if you get stuck.
  23. Shane you will be pleased to know but not suprised that the Bandit machines have this system built in as std, just turn off a tap and hand pump the brakes off. simples
  24. Thanks to all who have had a look or given us a like over the last week, any who haven't visited please do.
  25. i spent years repairing them when I worked for a JCB dealer & it was a full time job. Cummins engine was poor, Perkins was underpowered, gearboxes out most weeks + poor steering lock & non existent brakes. I can't comment on newer models as no experience.
