What trailer is that Johnny? looks like my Indespension plant trailer only smaller.

Problem we have is we do a mixture of work, down driveways or site clearance so if you look at it that way then i should have both! Leaning towards the tracked side as is more versatile

logistical problems on small driveways and if you were only doing a small job it was a bit off a faff having to tow the machine all that way/unload find somewhere to put trailer, do job and then repeat. That's my thinking...

I hate hiring m8 always seems like dead money, unless its something you never really need or use.

We have a 190 road tow and i think its a well built machine easy to use etc id like to stick to what i know. Big decision to make.

That is my concern the weight! van will legally tow it but when its full of chip and or log! hmm, just looked through some previous jobs we have done and a few of them we could have left chip behind so not such an issue. Don't think there is a really good all rounder out there its a case of what machine best suits our needs... I can get my hands on a new timberwolf 190tftr at 30 grand tomorrow, do i wanna lay that out in 1 go??? Green plant are doing 0% finance on new machines but i reckon the lead time will be a few months away, when really we need the machine now.

What are the pros and cons of owning & operating a tracked chipper? its hard to justify the money, but when i think about it there has been loads of times when we could have really used 1 and it makes justification a lot easier...help

I actually asked if they were protected, the reply was "yes" i then asked if they could forward me written consent i will email u the letter they sent andy.

That's what i am worried about, if i contact the la involved they will be able to tell me if consent has been given?

i am assuming so, need to check a few things tomorrow, i have been sent a letter apparently from the la talking about condition of trees and expressing views on removals. But it is not on headed paper? and is not signed by an individual . just does not look right. what is the usual sequence of events from the developer buying the land to the day they actually start building? a large area of the trees are protected but i cannot see anything stating that the council have given approval?

theres nowt at the yard worth nicking! got 2 vans on the drive all sign written so not really inconspicuous, i look after all our gear nowt is ever left in the vehicles or locked in a shed! only so much u can do, cant be looking over your shoulder all the time

the more i read the more incomplete it is, part of wooded area g7 to be removed? what part? how much? which trees? also theres a T2 on the plan and a TT2 on the report but no TT2 on the plan so not sure if its a software error, no species names for individual trees etc

The sign advertising logs is on the wall outside my house, the yard is 5 mile away, they were to be collected from my house, they will end up on my fire

Bloke rings up yesterday have u any soft wood logs "yes i have" can i collect them tomorrow evening? "i can deliver them earlier for nawt" no i would rather collect them, "ok no probs" that was 2 hours ago! was throwing them in the van at 8.00pm last night! now i will be driving to the yard and throwing them back out at the same time tonight why do people go out of their way to be arseholes!

Just looking at a report in relation to some tree removal on a development site, the report appears to be incomplete, either that or i am missing something! the trees on the report are numbered completely different to the ones on the actual drawings. drawings are t1 t2 etc but the report are tt4 tt8 etc? am i reading this wrong?

if they are not happy tell them to get another quote, or do the job themselves! Always annoys me when people ask you to quote for work and then say its to expensive. If i don't wanna pay someone to do a job i do it myself.
