  1. i have been keeping my eye out for a used 1 for the last couple of months and have never seen any used ones
  2. How much was that?
  3. When i inquired about 1 the dealer never came back to me! 5 times!
  4. Ian what model is the skid steer you got? im thinking about getting 1 on demo. It seems like they can do everything i want on site and in the yard.
  5. whats chipper like hodge? we got a 190 road tow, i rate it highly.
  6. Isn't the hopper really high? seriously leaning towards the tracked side, opens up so many doors.
  7. Surely if your using it on the trailer your walking up and down the ramp every time? if your working down a narrow/awkward street where do you drop the trailer off? im sure ive seen greenmech with a trailer that you can use the machine either on or off the trailer no probs?
  8. I seem to be doing a lot of work now where a tracked chipper would be a god send, we do a lot of domestic jobs also so was thinking if having a trailer made up "low loader style" would be feasible? ive seen firms using them on plant trailers! looks a real ball ache. what would you recommend
  9. I dunno Nick was a while ago now, what model have you got?
  10. The firm who did the survey was going to do the actual work until them and the main contractor fell out, i get the feeling that's why the lack of info. going to have a closer look tomorrow and come to my own conclusions.
  11. My point exactly. The grounds maintenace firm we do work through does not want me to contact the company who did the arboricultural survey due to them letting them down on various sites and making them look bad in the clients eyes. They no longer deal with them, which makes it more difficult for us.
  12. I meant to add there is an office block next to the tree, a busy access road and a school playing field.
  13. We have been asked to do some work on a few large trees on site, the company we sub through does the grounds maintenance there. They have had a tree survey done and some of the work outlined is unclear in particular work on a veteran Sycamore, All the upright leaders have failed in the upper crown, there is a lot of large dead wood and also extensive wood pecker damage. Am i right in thinking that it is an indication of soft wood? the tree is slowing in vigour and beginning to decline, there is a bee colony in the main stem about 7 m high so said tree needs making safe but but has to be retained to keep the bee colony. The recommendation for work is "heavily reduce the habitat tree" does that mean pollard? maybe remove large scaffold limbs? to reduce risk of failure?
  14. As per title, what size is best?
  15. On the up side them brown tights that bloke had on looked really warm for winter
  16. I think they are set ups, same as the American programe. Who in their right mind would walk away and leave all that in there to go to auction?
  17. I don't know the model, it was really light compared to the stihl. Seemed good for pruning small stuff but didn't look like it would stand a lot of work imo.
  18. I like your thinking
  19. Safety sake?
  20. My local dealer does not do repairs in their workshop! they get sent to manchester then 3 weeks later they come back! as i found out Sounds expensive all that, after 2 years the saw is probably out of warranty? right?
  21. Jon i bought an old ms200t off spud ages ago, hes a good bloke. i just need to get it sorted asap as i dont have a back up and need it running now.
  22. Oh no i understand that i need to find the fault, but i would also like to improve the performance also, so once the hole is drilled is that it? no adjustments or mods can or need to be made?
  23. Thanks spud i will have a look tomorrow, i have heard that drilling a hole in the muffler will increase power a little?
  24. Do you know what they did to the saw kev?
  25. what is the difference between the old and new 201t?
