  8. I once saw a thread on another site by a bloke who chose to climb on 4 lines at once...must of being like climbing through spaghetti
  9. The firm clearly are if they MAKE you climb on 2 main lines and second attachment point in all trees. Each to their own, different situations require different methods, should be down to the individual to decide on the method he needs to employ in the situation he is in. Why make things complicated
  10. Big on safety
  11. Easiest quickest way just use other end like you are doing, keep a Prussic on your harness if you know you will be walking out a lot. If it shortens your rope to much then u gotta put another line in, I use a grigri as my second attachment point but wth a long rope "just coil" the other end up if I need to create a better position I uncoil it and move it to bridge on meh harness. Quicker than sending another rope up and easier than carrying a second
  12. What a joke, I agree some people physically cannot help being over weight so it's unfair to treat them unfairly. However the majority of fat buggers are that way on through over eating, eating shite and being bone idle! Just another case of people using the "discrimination" card to benefit themselves. I worked for the la a few years ago and 1 of the blokes there was so fat he couldn't get a strimer harness to fit, couldn't get on a ride on mower, couldn't litter pick so ended up driving the van to site then sitting there while everyone else did his job for him! Still see him coming out the chineese I a sat night with a huge box full of crap! Worlds gone daft.
  13. I'm with you, so on for example branch walk you use both ends.
  14. You mean to advance the tree? You don't use a lanyard
  15. Not sure I get that! What system do you climb on currently

  18. To increase its height, they placed the foot of the ladder in the rear of their pick-up truck parked at the foot of the tree.
  19. Single skin steel sheets are crap! their is that much condensation on the inside that everything gets wet through! sides are not so bad as the condensation just runs down. whats the framework made of?
  20. Its not really worth it then if theres only a few pence difference! also like Jon says some scum bag would probably nick it.
  21. What is the criteria "if any" you need to meet with regards to buying/storing fuel? is their a big difference between pump price and buying in bulk? trying to reduce fuel costs.

    Stihl ms 441

What are they like? got a 660 but its a bit too big to hump around unless were doing something huge. A little unsure of this m-tronic thing looks like something else to go wrong
