  2. that giraffe jobbie looks handy, heres a couple of pics of a mewp we hired for £150 per day lastyear, 1st pic looks almost landy mounted haha, the brash was only going round corner so piled trailer up high, oh laddo dropped a small block of oak onto the hydraulic leg pipe and snapped the union clean off. peed hydraulic oil all over my hiflexes, thought i'd wet miself at first- lovely n warm..
  3. nice pile of firewood that.. are they big lumps? or is it a really small pick up truck?
  4. one went past house today, had a huge excavator on the trailer, looked like a slowtrak to me..
  5. garage just rang n said £175 for box + £60 fitting, shud be ready tomorow, nice fast service from this guy B.A.S at cleckheaton. something else for the creditcard im afraid.
  6. Haix boots (protector pro) if you can afford with stihl hi-flex kex, my haix's are so comfy im still wearing them now. obviously try them out first if you have shop local..
  7. after seeing this one go i don't think im brave enough to chance a secondhand one.. could turn wheel lock to lock with no resistance.. (wheels not turning) thanks anyway man.
  8. don't have time to fix it this week so RAC took it to my mates garage, anyone know where to get a steering box for less than £190? oh its 300tdi, thanks Ed

  10. saw these guys today, wakefield rd hudds, no ppe, ladders (take note bob) full chapter 8 kit (invisible version) the guy up there was pulling a length of polyprop blue rope, not sure if it was for tying in with or rigging..

  13. had to leave the disco at the shops tonight.. the woman wasn't too impressed about getting into the 110, its pretty bad in there at the mo..

  15. back from college in the wifes disco after blasting down the motorway at 70mph ooo, went in house, woman went straight out to shops in it, then rang me to say she's at the shops and the steering won't work, had a look, and well it looks like the bottoms fallen out of the steering box.. couldn't believe it at first as id just been on motorway in it, guess what i'm doing tomorrow now?
  16. haha can it reverse into a big drystone wall, pull forward stall then roll back through the wall with only a scratch? with one 'new driver' behind the wheel blaming the gearbox..
  17. was just thinking 8am is pretty early, then doh.. i've gotta go to college at preston tomorrow, need to be ont motorway at 7am, if yr there weds i might nip down..Ed

  20. do you mean graft when the tree is young? or like the victorians did, graft 40ft up to get massive cascades? or both? just wondering as i'd love to give the latter a go..Ed
  21. my nptc card is out in the truck n its dark/cold etc, not sure which cs numbers i've got, but got my rigging and pruning ones.. the rigging course was fun, the instructor took a whole day to show us ziplines and how to set up /use them..
  22. was told rough location of an oak near me, they guessed it is about 400yrs old, im off to find it as soon as i get time, can't wait.. if its good i'll pop pics up, Ed
