  1. I will follow this with interest, im intending on partnering up with an AD plant to do exactly this.
  2. Ive got the 8 way knife and 4 way on my tajfun, use the 4 most of the time, put big stuff to one side then blitz with the 8way. But yeah it can produce big logs if your not on the ball and continuously moving the blade up and down
  3. I weighed a few 0.6cube bags last year full of bone dry ash, averaged out at 260kgs each.
  4. I can get 2 in with the tailgate up with my l200 king cab.
  5. Ive got 2 dumpie bags of saw dust im thinking of bagging up and selling. Just not sure who'd buy it?!
  6. I dont really do many jon so im happy with that tbh.
  7. Ive tried alsorts of ways, trays are ok but can still catch. Atm im using a medium size kitchen waste bin (square not round) with the bottom cut out. Slide it in the net first, fill with logs and then pull out when full. I can do 5 nets in 10mins on my own. Only ever do 15 or 20 nets a time tbh.
  8. Still got plenty of orders, and sell quite a few nets atm as well. Orders are definitely fpr smaller loads at this time of year though.
  9. I filled this one up a few weeks back ok, but I dont like the belt being much steeper as a lot roll back and clatter into the machine, operator!
  10. Scotch pine if you want it to burn quick and bright, ash for an all evening burn
  11. Any photos chaps? Id like to deliver in the bag if possible and leave it with the customer without emptying. Ive got loose wood bloody everywhere at the moment, it looks a mess and not overly organised. Id love to have 200 wooden log boxes but finances don't allow unfortunately.
  12. Looking to seriously cut down on handling, bags seem the easiest and cheapest way. Id look to put a small crane on the trailer. Ive dabbled in vented bags before but just looking at other users opinions before buying a couple of hundred. Thanks
  13. I found when bone dry it doesnt spit at all.
  14. Anybody on here offer a log splitting service in the Sudbury area? Ive got a heap of big rings need splitting (all softwood), left over from a 70 cube load of Arb arisings. Ive processed probably 80/85% with my processor but these bits arent going through. I could quarter them and drop in the processor but its a lot of extra work and im short on time. Thanks
  15. I wasnt really aware, or heard of sps, being responsible for big trees being felled for the sake of it. I have done A LOT of hedgerow coppicing under HLS and never have had to take all decent trees out...
  16. Any softwood cord for sale Suffolk/Essex area? Please DM if any info, Thanks
  17. Nice! Where are you buying tate boxes for 12 quid???
  18. Tip them over then scoop logs up is the plan...
  19. Thanks. My 1.2 cube load in l200 new shape club cab is a heaped up load.
  20. Might have a chance of buying quite a few IBC crates, whats the volume of them roughly?! I know quite a few firewood guys use them
  21. Saw this on facebook earlier, best thing ive ever seen
