  1. i'll have a look thanks, we have probably used 5t of hazel this winter as firewood, brilliant stuff. we just like to know if there is other uses though before burning it. dont get me wrong though, Hazel is a cracking firewood
  2. Absolutely beautiful work there my friend, the garages are very very nice and I aspire to have something like that myself one day
  3. Hi all, We're hedgerow coppicing and have come to a few large Hazels, with 35-40 stems coming from each stump. Obviously the stems are a variety of lengths, some a arrow straight, some are not. We normally try to keep any hedgerow timber over 2" for firewood and we'll do the same with this if there is no other use for it. Just seems a shame, as like i say some is lovely and straight. Will walk up there later and get some photos. Thanks for any suggestions
  4. I believe Hullsmillfarm has some for sale, have a look in arbtrader
  5. fantastic thread Charlie and I will be watching it and participating with interest. This is my 3rd year now of working for a farmer and doing his hedgerow coppicing for him, also each year he marks a few trees for us. We currently use an agent for woodland advice but it is something im becoming more and more interested in and am starting to enjoy it more then the farming itself at times. As well as reading material, can knowledgeable folk let me know of any Woodland Management short courses that are available and worth doing. MAny thanks
  6. There was a company at the Lincs County Show last year with a de-mount camper on a pick up on their stand. We had a look at it and was very impressed with the finish and space it had inside. Cant remember the company name though
