  18. With my distel occasionally it will creep before I set it but it will never just not grip like some VT's. Sold!, ive been umming and arring bout the VT or distel for the hitchclimber, trying to make the switch from the prussik. Ive a double eye 90cm OP and 75cm one... kinda feeling i need about 80cm! i guess its trial and error and no more double eyes for me, too costly.

  23. well the topic quickly moved away from Eucalyptus, any chance that anybody has some pictures of ectomycorrhizae specifically on Picea sitchensis? cheers
  24. its for a tree report for college, i'll just go with Ganoderma spp or austrle? This is selective delignification, and on oak, which is a good compartmentaliser, the tree is 22m in height 89cm dbh 10m inside a woodland quite sheltered with few targets. i cant think of many recommendations really, any other things to take into account? it has a low live crown ratio and a low H/D ratio - shouldnt be a problem in a sheltered wood? Anyone know of decent material for tree report writing? Cheers
  25. yeah, i dont think it was daldina, as it was brown when i cut a little bit away. yeah and it was growing in a butress, i'll have a look at gandoderma, see which species it may be
