I'm away 2-9th but free all the other weekends. Did you get something sorted with that plane?
-
Hi mate, I'd guess you'll be working but I'm visiting Kew on tuesday, if you are free and fancy a beer let me know:thumbup:
-
Somehow I missed that you'd replied. No not yet, looking to buy or build now. Been away working most of the last few weeks so not made much difference recently

Yeah was good, managed a traverse that I didn't think was possible, then with the single line would've been set up perfect to work the next tree. I'm LOVING the wrench/lockjack. Are you going to the cutters and climbers?
-
Might have a climb tomorrrow in Loddon if you fancy it? No big gathering but maybe a few lads coming over. I'm organising a proper rec climb for mid may too
-
Hi will, I usually climb most saturdays so if you're about next weekend and fancy it let me know. I've got a few trees up near norwich on the A146

I think it'll be saturday, I'm waiting to hear back about it. I'll be driving down so if you want a lift let me know. Awesome place if you haven't been, 1000 acres

I didn't see you until the last minute today, I was driving the Waveney van near Newton Flotman. There may be a rec climb at Hatfield forest this weekend if you're up for it?
-
Hi mate, did you manage to get anything sorted for a rec climb? Got my new kit arriving tomorrow -new job - so keen to get some time in on it, break it in like
-
I haven't forgotten to send you the MS by the way, its finished but I've changed jobs, I'll send you a copy when I get my laptop unpacked in the new house. Been keeping an eye on your blog, keep it up!

Hi Ian, bit of an odd question. I'm in the process of writing a method statement for using the wrench and I seemed to recall you saying something about using up to date methods that are industry recognised st the climb in loddon. I was wondering if that was quoted from somewhere or you just put it very eloquently?! If you even know what I'm on about!
Cheers, Dan

Nah my boss has been good and done a lot of leg work for me with it. We were both just trying to make sure we had our backs covered in the event of an accident, both hse and insurance wise. However, I've spent most of this evening reading wah regs etc with him and we've decided I can use it at work as of tomorrow. I'll send you a copy of the MS, just needs a bit of tweaking, it's mostly about single line anchoring and rescue than actually using the wrench

I was indeed, you must have a good memory! You gave me your email address but I lost it. Im getting there with the srt at work, I've had to write a method statement for using the wrench, just got to have it read and approved by the boss and make sure he's happy the insurance will still cover me. I've found a few things in afag/wah regs that seem to point towards using srt, so it's taking a while but making progress!

Won't be about next weekend I'm afraid, I'm off to see family. I'm trying to organise a rec climb lincoln way sometime in the spring so maybe you can try out the wrench then. I'll put up a thread when I get a date sorted
-
Hi ian, any chance you could post up the pictures you took last week. Would be interested to see them when you get a chance. cheers
