  1. I'm going to stick to 7.5t for the time being. I have a transit T350 that I wanted to replace so it all tied in together. Had a proper look at a Iveco 72c18. Really liked it. I want a short bodied tipper as I'm urban based.
  2. O license granted today so the new truck hunt begins! Due to the ULEZ it's got to be a Euro6 upwards.
  3. There is a 2nd hand Avant winch for Sale on the Avant FB group.
  4. Anything with nails/painted or treated goes off to landfill via skip still, the shredder is just really good as reducing it down. It must be 10 skips to 1 compared to loosely stacked/chucking it in!
  5. Sorry, I mispelled it - Mascus. Its a bit of a mix of everything but decent stuff comes up. Agricultural Machinery | Construction Equipment & Farm Equipment - Mascus UK WWW.MASCUS.CO.UK Visit our online marketplace for buying and selling used machinery & trucks. 6. Yeah, they seem to be rare. I haven't seen a PTO one come up for sale in the last 18 months. Thats agriaffaires and mascis as well so covers most of Europe.
  7. I was quoted - PTO version, on a single axle, no crane £33k ex tax. Saw one in France that looked to be newish with low hours for €22k. No idea on hammers cost etc but they must last a while? I appreciate it's smaller but on my TW S426 it's on 570 hours on original hammers. I just put a bit of an edge on them with a grinder occasionally. They are painfully slow on 15cm+ stuff but for big bundles of brash they do a great job. We use it for all our basal/ epicormic prunings, hedge cuttings and general wood waste (pallets, old tree stakes, etc).
  8. So Bugnot isn't highly regarded? I did look at a BVE 11 PTO before but was put off by the lack of dealer back up in the UK. Seemed like a decent enough machine. I ended up sticking the Timberwolf S426 shredder.
  9. How do you think a tree shear would work on a 3cx? Topping off very over grown hedges etc.
  10. Is it fully functioning from the remote? Would be great to be able to be in a 360 with grapple, feeding and moving the chipper along as you go. Ive recently got a farmi 260 with remote that I load with the multione which is helpful but it only controls the feed rollers.
  11. This makes a lot of sense. Once the machine has been running a few minute it is fine. I have noticed there is, what appears to be, some kind of suction around the join between the engine and the hydraulic block. I'm not 100% what is happening at this join but it looks like the reverse of bubbling. Doesn't exactly tally that this would be hydraulic oils though.
  12. I was thinking along the lines of a relief valve but surely if it's got the correct amounting of hyd fluid wouldn't it be air pressuring the system? A relief valve would surely just overflow, effect rather than cause. My other thought was maybe oil was being returned to the tank quicker than it was being circulated out? On start up the pump (s) are pushing more in that is being pulled out. Not quite sure if that's a thing? Partially blocked out pipe. If so why would be it be resolve when the cap is off? Bit of a head scratcher so far.
  13. There is a decent looking kx080 on steels near me. Been up for sale for a good few months.
  14. Hello, Nifty tracked MEWP. Starts up, track it a few metres starts to overflow hydraulic oil from the filler (with cap on and tight). If you open the cap it stops and seems to run fine for hours. If you turn the engine off it stops and restart the engine (without removing the cap) it seems to run fine. Trying to work out why it might be doing it. Why a sudden surge of pressure after start up from cold but at no other times. Any thoughts?
  15. That's some interesting data. So something more akin to a large scale move away from land inefficient agricultural activities such as sheep farming to woodland could deliver the best target results.
  16. Practically, what are you proposing? Deeply bury freshly felled trees etc? I think conceptually it is interesting but how would it be achieved in reality? It is often quite controversial point when I say it to people (particularly as a tree contractor) but planting trees isn't going to be the 'silver bullet' that many people portray it as. As you stated - its a cycle so isn't actually de-carbonising above the above ground environment, merely lengthening the time scales. Every time we dig it up, we've subtracted from the 'store' and added to our environment.
  17. Looks like a 24 hour period - awesome. Shows what can be done when they have the right resources and planning.
  18. yeah, to the max. It's a great tractor on site - Low COG and feels really stable on the rough stuff. I mainly run a seppi miniforst and zanon flail on it. Brilliant combo. Its just at 'quicker' road speeds you feel it. It's runs the farmi 260 ok so far. Just run it at 540 and keep the stress on low.
  19. I definitely feel it on the Dorado! Its got quite a bounce if you have anything over a ton on the back.
  20. Yeah, I saw these before on eBay and thought it might be useful for this kind of thing. I have mulcher that is pretty hefty and thought it might be easier on the tractor to carry it on a trailer and hook it up rather than have it bouncing along on the linkage at 40k.
  21. That would be ideal, not sure I've got enough height on mine though. I can just about lift the chipper with the multione so the plan will be to have that, knockabout grapple and chipper on a trailer behind. Once set up I feed the chipper with the grapple. Chipper is remote control as well so a nice little set up. Excavator can't lift the chipper though.
  22. I did see these before. On some implements they would save a lot of cursing!
  23. Yeah, I cant imagine it would be highway approved. Couldn't find anything on the legality on google. I can tow the chipper and loader together on a trailer behind the tractor. Just extra faffing hitching and unhitching.
  24. Woodland work. Would be too cumbersome for arb I'd say.
