  2. big j did you manage to get an ipad 2? ive been battling all weekend and got nothing. there are loads on ebay going for an extra £50-200 more than retail, i think im getting close! my turn will come hopefully...
  3. the next pic should be of the tree in felling season! nice willow that, not many that big that havent been mullered in the past!
  4. It can vary. I've done a days site clearance with my 660 and used 4L. But done domestic work and wouldn't use more than 2 in 2 saws and a blower combined. I would average it at 2-3. A each day is different.
  5. Whatever we buy at Capel can be tried out the day after then if you want. Not climbed a big beech in ages!
  6. We bought the chapter 8 kit from honeys a while ago. 3 months later all the signs and bags had gone. Still got all 20 cones all shiny and posh!
  7. We've got an old self propelled rotovator that's knackered. Could turn that into a self powered one to pull my chipper around too! We too have a welder and plenty of metal around.
  8. Got new belts. Sprayed them with belt dressing too. It Got blocked and then it just started squealing and wouldn't chip. Had lots of conifer to chip so had to stack it in trailer. Bah. Works well now though.
  9. I'd gone for a climb with Tom today over the local park. We had a scope round to find some trees and went to a patch of 60ft syccies which were nice easy climbs. Will have to go back again soon. Spotted a nice beech there I'd love to go back to.
  10. Bah. Talk about peeing on my parade. You spoilsports! Wanted to climb it today. But found some nice ladder sycamores instead.
  11. Bah. It's bigger than it's neighbours! Biggest tree on the park. So it's a monster in thatsense.
  12. Found this monster pop at the park today
  13. And a nice 3 hour trek home last thing! Don't even know if I'll have money to spend. But wouldnt mind getting down for a walk round!
  14. Medium for me. Good things come in small packages! I'll vote on the pc tomorrow!
  15. Have a pat on the back too rob!!!! i know it may not seem much to other people but i think i deserve one
  16. It is completely unrealistic as ad says. It would most likely be a memory upgrade as that's the easier thing to do and will give them a nice boost. For the past few years there's been rumours of an iPhone nano. But that's just defeating the object. So they will stay as rumours. I spoke to people at apple. Nothing happens until apple says it is. I ordered mine online last night. But found out I'll have it in may. Cancelled it and I'll go on the hunt for one in the next couple of weeks. This is a reward to myself. I worked hard in march with college and work coming in. Not many days off. Even the days off I had to sort something out for college or work.
  17. Tried 3 shops. Sold out or would be by the time I got there. Just found out there was one I could have tried and managed to get one. Properly gutted! Ordered online. Expected delivery is 3rd may! Although i think they'll be in stock before then. If I can find one before next Friday in a shop I'll cancel my order and get another!
  18. If they are flowering I would leave them. If they aren't then do it quick!
  19. I wa going so say something really funny but had a mind block!
  20. im assuming you mean the laurel chip? it smelled lovely!
  21. i had to restrict works yesterday, laurel coming out and a conifer to be cut in half, was seeing and hearing doves, pigeons and sparrows in and aorund it all day, so i dropped some of the price, explained to the customer and said ill be back in september! They were absolutely fine with it, his words 'its the law, you cant do much about it' which i agreed!
  22. Sizeable laurel removal from yesterday. The conifer on the left was going to have a reduction. But it had all sorts of birds cooing and fluttering round. Weather was glorious. Managed to get a tan. Finally. All of the laurel went though my little Gloria. Apart from the large Logs. Did well!
  23. released at 5pm friday 25th. Ill be waiting in line, tried to pre-order one but theres no pre order at all. first come first serve. looks like ill be working quick on friday.
  24. As long as you let out a big manly grunt as you took the photo then it wasn't soppy at all! Quite strange that!
  25. No offence taken. I can see the reason in your post. It's been booked for a couple of weeks but the LOLER is important. The job requires a very short amount of climbing. I would say less than half an hour. The LOLER inspector is a college instructor and this week is his only slot. So I'm having to do it. I have a good network of people if I need them. Who are always grateful for any work I send their way. I have organised some kit. So I am after a groundy now. It was late and I was tired when I posted so I may have not made much sense! Rob: I knew it was you!
