1.
Hey paul nothing yet, will send an email to chase it up a bit see if ive got it or not!

  2. Hi Mark

Sorry I've only just seen the message you left. I didn't know but the logs had already been sorted by a guy doing some chipping on the site too and I took a load for myself. Cheers though

  3. Hi Mike

You will have to come down one day for a rec climb and we can have a chat. Seeing as your local i can try and use you on some days, what do you charge for grounding for a day?

I doubt id pay £150 per day for a climber with only a couple years weekending experience, id be happier around the £100 mark. I doubt anybody would. Most good climbers i know are £120.

I try to do as much climbing as i can but recently its just little bits here and there that i cn climb no issues. ive got2 years part time experience running Rainfords Tree Care, theres a chance youve seen be out and about.

There's not a lot of work around so dont rely on tree work to give you a cushy living. i enjoy the work so the money isnt as big an issue for me, but im still not busy and ive been going for 2 years now.

    Regards

    Rob

  4. my contact number is 07841128366 and if you want to come down im at WA105QG, first farm on the left from the east lancs.

  5. waazaahhh

ive got a job to kill 80 trees, a mix of ash, syccie, beech and elm and 1 cherry. With quite a few shrubs which are mainly beech. it a roadside job but the road is quiet, all shrub beds. everything coming off site and to be stump ground, they will be done with a bobcat and grinder on that. Using the tractor mounted chipper (12"!) and big trailer for all chip, wont be many logs, i worked out maybe 15 trees worth of stems.

tractor and loader on site, fell trees in the road and shove them out the way, proper job! theres little bits of climbing and im thinking of bringing in another climber for it, i can do 2 days of the week there on it as im in college from next week. we have already won the job we just have to do it. Big toys and big noise :thumbup1:

It will be a weeks work if you want it? maybe even more depending how it goes. in the process of getting some guys together.

What would you want for the week/day rate? feel free to camp in the garden!

    :thumbup1:

  6. Hi mate yeah the canopy was custom built by gamic trailers in Wales. It's very similar to an ifor Williams canopy but with added doors on the side. Cheers

  8. yeah send your address over, ill get them sorted with the other multitude of things i have to do tomorrow!

we paid £500 and we went and picked it up, its ferfect, it would be easier with a standard door but its just a big door instead, came with a lock cover built on so its well secure!

  9. its going good, it seems like things are going click now and im understanding things a lot quicker.

ill get a few taken tomorrow for you, its a 3m steel container, it used to be a generator housing so its got a vent in the roof and two at the side, never get a problem with condensation or ventilation so i can use heaters in there while im in there.

Ill post it and then theres no guesswork, ill sort it this week, will probably be tomorrow afternoon if not thursday. ill send it as cheap as possible!

  10. Hey Liam, going good, works finally picking back up so its all good up this end. Hows college?

Ill do you the lot for £20 plus postage, ill post them then tell you the postage cost as i cant guess it.

oh and ill chuck in the olive green bag for free!

  11. Hey Liam

i think you could find more use in that big shackle if you want it?

    Cheers

  12. The laburnum is just over half a load in my hilux an to fill it with spalted beech which is in various sizes I would want £100 for the truck full. There is a lot of beech. A lot has been ringed for firewood and wouldn't be many large pieces left but I can have a dig through for a few pieces. There's a spalted beech mushroom carved a couple of weeks ago which would look amazing once it's been rubbed down and smooth.

  13. no delivery is extra, as im coming to huddersfield from st helens.

all i have is laburnum and some beech which has some good spalted pieces

  14. hi steve is there any chance you could let me know what my first set of tickets were? bought them early december, ive managed to delete the message, i think they were yellow?

ill phone you in the morning when im coming to get you

  18. Hey there :)

I was wondering, could you do a couple of splices for me?

a splice at either end of a 20m rope, and one on a 10m line? Both ropes will be new. Would you want anything for them?

After a tip also, are ocean poly and armor prus both double braid splices? if so how difficult do you rate them?

    Cheers!

    Rob

  19. hey rob

where abouts are you based in lancashire? if your 10 mins from parbold it could be a handy job that ive been to look at, its a 150m ish line of leylandii with 1 tree per metre. all about 30ft high, they all want taking down to 10ft and the customer wants all the sticks so we only have to take small brash away. i was thinking two climbers because its a cut and chuck on the floor job while another guy sneds up and possibly another guy chipping his brash. Its a hell of a job, ill post a couple pictures on here in a couple days when its daylight.

might be an idea if you want a few days work, i thought it could take 4-5 days!

  20. Nice one. Full time stuff doesn't seem to want to happen ATM. But with uni taking 3 days a week then I'll be after 2-3 working to keep my funds up.

  21. Just wondering. I'm aiming to try and work as much as I can outside of uni and Im just putting some feelers out to see if I'd be able to manage it. I'm gonna be in Thomson local for my area so that may very well keep me busy. But I'd like to keep a few contacts on here aswell as local as you lot are all good guys on here.

Was just hoping you'd keep me in mind for anything. Let me know if you'd need any more info. Cheers!

  22. Hey mozza there's something wrong with your avatar. There's 3 huskies in it! Haha

Do you mainly sub yourself out for work? Or do you have your own work aswell?

  23. Hi mate

I don't use the plastic visor with my lid. I have the peltor h31p1e or something similar to that. The orange ones. The visor does just clip straight in. As there are predefined holes For it to clip into. I've not tried combining the two. So I don't know how it would work exactly.
