  1. I'll believe it when I see it, otherwise Im off to my Scooby club meet tomorrow!!
  2. I did see that thread!!!!

Im aware how much Im going to get fleeced for training, costs do vary. At the moment Ive found Merrist Wood to be the cheapest as equipment (except PPE) is included.

Christmas was good thanks, hope the horse has got better and not cost you a small fortune!

Really must get down to see you, and take a little drive around the Plain.

    Cheers,

    Nick

  3. Bren looks cracking Paul All my dogs are allowed on the sofa, but not in the bedroom anymore.
  4. A couple of mates run 101's on LPG which makes them very usable, great towing vehicles with good load carrying ability. Underslung tanks dont cause any problems due to great ground clearance on these vehicles. Another runs a 4.6 v8 90, and it costs him less to run than a tdi Discovery. lpg and v8 Landies seem very happy together.
  5. If you can get down on Sunday, you need to speak to Andy (AP) he owns and uses his for towing the caravan, on the Shoot, and transporting all his dogs. Ive not seen him get stuck, yet!!!! He wont be there for too long though as his wifes just had their first baby!!
  6. Sounds like youre having fun mate, I'll be thinking of you on my walk with Bracken this afternoon!!
  7. couple of inches here, but its ground to a halt Some schools are closed, which is a joke as most kids travel less than a mile to get to them. Think Im going to take the dogs and rifle for a walk, see if young charles is making the rounds early
  8. Rob, take a look on Home of the Surrey Subaru Club! we have a few Fozzer owners on there (from old to new), one of which goes all over the local Shoot with no problems. Or take a trip down to the Fairmile this Sunday at 1pm when we meet. Fozzers are great tow vehicles, return around 30mpg, if driven steadily, and have the ability to embarass some very quick factory cars when mildly tuned. I wouldnt recommend an Impreza Wagon, but only because of ground clearance. I own one and have to tiptoe through areas the Fozzer just sails through.
  9. Love the Meercats. I would ask how much one woud cost but I think I'd be scared of the answer!!
  10. Ive only found one magazine that holds my attention for more than a few days, though not arb related it gives some idea of how mags can be produced with a high input from the reader. Its the Varmint Hunter magazine from the Varmint Hunters Association in the US Its over 200 pages, with 75% being written by the membership, in depth articles on everything from kit to ballistics, hunting and just plain funny. Untill the dollar/pound exchange went down, this mag was costing me less than any UK produced one.
  11. Ive got one from Mike Penfold, really nice guy who helps organise the knife show. Welcome to Penfold Knives
  12. Yes mate!!! On a loan pc as my harddrive has died, so sticking to easy to use forums!!!

Looking, but need to get my cs30/31 before I can really get any proper work.

Hows Trigger? BuRP is feeling unloved, really need to get the wiring sorted, then he's nearly finished.

Have a good Christmas, off to Wales tomorrow so wont be online for a few days.

    Cheers,

    Nick

  13. Hello mate, glad youve found a decent forum
  14. Rapid7 mk1 with Ben Taylor reg, FAC running at 28ftlb, just right for squizzers and around the barns for pigeons and rats. Other than that its .22lr, 20br and .223, at the moment
  15. As the Remmington sign says "tresspassers will be shot, survivors will be shot again"
  16. Love it, excellent find
  17. The last I heard he was ok, still living in Lincs with wife, kids and various animals!! I think Oildropper (Chris) still speaks to him occasionally. Everythings good here thanks, the big yellow V8 88" s2a has gone (divorce caused that!!!) but still got the 300TDi Discovery commercial and '61 88" 2a, plus a couple of Scoobies!!!!!! Hows tricks with you?
  18. Thanks mate. Another blast from the past, its ages since Ive been on orrp!!!
  19. Thanks Doug. Yep, shes mine, Tawnyhill Swift, cant remember her exact breeding, but her grand-sire is Ian Openshaw's Dandrew Druid. She was bred by Tony Price in Kent. Had her out working today on the Shoot, with my Toller and the Patterdale you see in the picture
  20. How many people on here are trained in first aid, and do you keep your training upto date? Ive read the requirements for cs30/31 and first aid at work training is recommended, but carrying a first aid kit is a must (this seems pointless if you havent been trained to use it ) Which also begs the question, what to have in the kit, or do you just buy a commercial one?
  21. Im in Chertsey, but its close enough!!!! Thanks for all the replies, looks like a goer
  22. These are the Dorking people Land Skills Training for LANTRA COURSES & NPTC Qualifications
  23. Thanks, but its a bit of a mission to get there for me, Im j11 M25.
  24. Apart from Merrist Wood (who seem very vague on their website about cs31) are there any trainers for cs30 and 31 in Surrey? I would like to do the week long course, that finishes with assessment in both. Ive found a company over in Dorking who do it, but dont know much about them Any recommendations gratefully received, thanks.
  25. Bracken, closest to the camera, and Rosie take their pet rat for a walk! Swift, my working Cocker. And in her "Im a Laydee, dont you know" pose And finally, the old boy, Turtle, my NSDTR
