  1. Too right. That constant ruddy mist or horizontal rain permeating everywhere.
  2. I spend half my day tip toeing around with a butterfly on a log looking for a safe place to put it
  3. I have always been obsessive about delivering my logs dry whether selling them as seasoned or unseasoned but I need dry weather to do this. We bring them out of the barn into the open to put them into Barrow Bags but with the never ending rain and the manic Christmas rush this is proving close to impossible. Do you deliver your logs damp?
  4. It would be good to see a pic of that boiler and the chunks you put into it.
  5. I deliver in Barrow Bags which are supposedly just over 0.2 of a cube but it is frightening when a 1.2 cubic metre cage only fills five :confused1:
  6. I stopped advertising a couple of weeks ago as well but still the orders flood in.
  7. I have a Vision 500 and a Pioneer 400 both excellent stoves
  8. Was I top in the `Prize To**er` category
  9. I have been burning alot of small round logs this week ( ones that I considered to small to sell ) and have also noticed that they leave alot more ash
  10. Sat inside eating my toast looking at the pouring rain through the window and the wet slimy logs waiting to be processed next to the processor needing a belt change this morning. Oh happy days
  11. But they still got the trolley in the tree..... now they just need their ingenuity redirecting
  12. Oh dear oh dear.... if you wear one of those I personally think you should be barred from Arbtalk
  13. My log sales are so good it was a sigh of relief when someone cancelled an order
  14. I really do not care what other people charge. I charge what I think the time and effort is worth and that has to be a minimum of £100 a cube as I have said ever since I joined the forum. Crazy cutter I think that you are to obsessed with trying to be cheap, put your prices up and aim at a different market from the penny pinchers by selective advertising.
  15. I think `Windfall` has been on the cizer I would say minimum of 75 cube from 50 ton more than likely much more.
  16. oak? OAK?......... do they not know that your a lime specialist
  17. I deliver purely in barrow bags and use a sack truck. I do find that customers do ask a great deal from you when delivering this way.... just round this corner, just down or up these steps, just the 100 yards to the top of the garden . Mine are just over .2 of a cube from Bag Supplies, are you sure that yours are .25?.
  18. Ysterdays posts showing as more recent ie 1 hour ago
  19. I would agree with all of the above. Its just common sense really.
  20. I have just looked in the mirror and after three years of doing logs its getting pretty close
  21. I have already carried out a pretty detailed experiment. This is the before and after picture of me standing in my barn for two months with the wind blowing across my face.
