  1. Not at all. They (May and Thatcher) are/were both egomaniacs who believed themselves to be the party rather than the leader of such, a comment which would also apply to Blair.
  2. Yep, Tory and Tory-lite. Blair is no more representative of the Labour party under Corbyn than Katie Hopkins is of a human being.
  3. Because the Conservatives have such a great record on predators.
  4. Who is going to take Boris Johnson's when he has his next one?
  5. Unfortunately, many people love money more than wildlife.
  6. It's certainly a concern, particularly with the appointment of Gove to the Environment post. Hopefully, as the current laws would need to be revoked then the protection will remain.
  7. That's all too Freudian for me. Very good.
  8. More importantly, who or what are 1D?
  9. Twice as bad if you make somebody else dig that corner out.
  10. Couldn't you just stop peeing in the chip box?
  11. Because ,IIRC, if May goes within a month of the election, the Opposition can demand a fresh election.
  12. Agreed, mate. The best type of help is helping yourself but sometimes we all need a bit of additional help when the brown and smelly hits the fan. There have been a few examples on here where the Arbtalk community have helped members out in need and the welfare system is a national extension of that. We all know the poverty porn dished up by Channel 5 (owned by Richard Desmond who also owns The Express) of feckless wasters but they are cherry picked examples. I'm talking about genuine cases of misfortune or illness.
  13. And we also understand that life deals some people a s**t hand just like it deals others a good one and being a decent caring society means that they need help.
  14. I know it's too soon just now but there are lots of rescue animals out there needing a good home, Simon.
  15. Not as to brand, though.
  16. They fooled a lot of people, mate, me included. It's one of those things that helped make me the cynical old barsteward that I am today.
  17. Fixed that for you, mate.
  18. Do you honestly think it would be any different the other way round?
  19. I love jobs like that where your first reaction is 'How the **** are we going to sort that out?'.
  20. Mum always said I'd cut myself.
  21. Having spent the day recreating the dust storms from the North Africa campaign of WW2 with just the aid of a ride on mower, I was looking forward to a nice cold shower. Couldn't believe it when I saw SWMBO had been showering at the same temperature as she does in midwinter. It's been over 30 Centigrade here today.
  22. I'd best hope there's a friendly Imam about to save me then.

If you would like to contribute to making this industry more effective and safe then welcome.
Just like a living tree, it'll always be a work in progress.
