  1. Please do give me an example where I have insulted the opposition(the word does have a meaning beyond parliamentary useage). Rather than repeatedly calling somebody 'creature' the way you have been which is the height of debate, of course.
  2. You don't do your argument any favours by just insulting the opposition. I get that you don't like Corbyn so no need to keep spewing it. I think the gullible are the people who vote Conservative and expect them to care about anybody other than themselves or their rich friends. The Conservatives have issued a vague, uncosted manifesto which they are already back-tracking on. When questioned about different policies, very often the minister concerned will claim something different to May. To me, that is untrustworthy, not issuing a clear, costed manifesto. We all know that the NHS, education and social services are in rag order but the Conservatives keep trying to convince us otherwise. If Corbyn has changed his views then surely that shows somebody who will listen to people around him rather than being on a massive ego trip like May. Can honestly say that your views and opinions have remained unchanged throughout your life?
  3. Which part of 'condemns all terrorism' are you struggling with? Does talking to people automatically equate to friendship or could it be a means to solving continuing problems? Do a bit of research and find out the answer Corbyn has consistently given when this smokescreen keeps being brought up. Anyway, you wouldn't want to talk to people when military action is obviously working out so well, would you? In other news today, another example of Conservative reliability and trustworthiness. 4. Couldn't agree less. I'm tired of hearing the same old questions put by mindless individuals when said questions have already been answered. Maybe he gives the same answers because they are the answers. For instance, how was he 'colluding with PIRA terrorists' when he was having open discussions with Sinn Fein just like the Conservative government of the time? Was Thatcher colluding too? How was the terrorism brought to an end in NI? Was it by military action or dialogue? He has been repeatedly asked about terrorism and gives the same consistent answer; he condemns the actions of ALL terrorists. Seems fairly plain to me. As for a 'vile creature who promises what the electorate want to hear', how would you class May's u-turn on the great social care land grab? She was asked a simple question about the level of the proposed cap( the existence of which had been categorically 18 hours before it was announced as always having existed ) and would not answer it. She doesn't have the guts to stand up and debate with Corbyn, how is she going to do the same with a room full of EU officials who already plainly hold her in contempt?
  5. Easiest way to check is find their contact details independently of those on the letter and ask them.
  6. It's up to both parties to step the pay levels appropriately, for instance by having narrower band width between pay grades. It's not right by any stretch of the imagination that businesses should be subsidised by tax payers because they won't pay a decent living wage yet still make excessive profits. When you have people working a 40 hour week yet still needing a top-up from the benefits system to survive, somebody is taking the pee.
  7. In my experience of pay negotiations, just because somebody wants £x doesn't mean they get it.
  8. Didn't you know? According to the Daily Fail, the BBC is a hotbed of lefties ( Nick Robinson and Laura Kuensberg, anybody?) which is why the audience for the Leaders debate was so hard on poor Amber Rudd. No mention of the planted Conservative councillor on Question Time recently, though.
  9. If that's the case then you need to look more closely at the people you have working for you, not what you are paying them.
  10. Agreed. You only need to look at the amount of people receiving benefits other than child benefit to realise that the tax payer is basically subsidising the paying of low wages by businesses to improve their profit margin.
  11. At least the figures exist, unlike the Conservative manifesto. As for courting popularity, what would you call the U-turn on the dementia tax which Amber Rudd still would not put a figure on?
  12. So basically what you're saying is that, as an electorate, we are collectively not worth May's time? I don't know about you but I wouldn't expect to get a job when I was so arrogant as to not turn up for the interview. As for Corbyn turning up and not Diane Abbot, why should he send a substitute when he can(and should) come in? If what I read earlier was right, May would rather hide behind a woman who lost a parent only a couple of days before. Rather sums up her level of compassion.
  13. I think you are cheapening things yourself a bit by referring to all the attendees as 'chimps'. What I saw was standard fare and no different to the last televised debate I watched in 2015 with regards to the talking over. It spoke volumes to me that May did not attend as did her nervous laughing response earlier that she was far too busy with important things like Brexit (paraphrased but the gist of it). Too busy to put her party's views and manifesto, albeit vague and uncosted, in front of the public who she expects to hand her a mandate to govern? I still say too arrogant or too scared to debate unscripted.
  14. Have to say that I disagree, Kevin. The only element that you describe was for me plainly created by May's non-attendance provoking the references to such.
  15. I can only see 2 reasons for her not taking part. She's either so arrogant that she thinks she can do what she likes because it's already in the bag or she's not able to take part in an unscripted debate. :001_rolleyes:
  16. Don't give them the pleasure. Why let a troll decide what you enjoy on-line? Just ignore the drivel.
  17. Ah, that makes sense. At least it explains Mark's Stella tattoo.
  18. It'll be all over the radio then. Oh, hang on.......
  19. I thought your Mrs was called Ruth?
  20. Always enjoy a bit of Ska. [ame] [/ame]
  21. :post:Remember, top handle on the ground means you're going to prison, you villain.
  22. Not to his face, no.
  23. Especially not if Steve gets up there.
