  1. Unless it houses rare bio diversity, resides in a sssi or aonb, bap sac or crac, is holding up a grade listed wall. Plus numerous others I'm sure.
  2. Done, for reference, if I saw avenue like that I'd CONSIDER recording each one individually in the sense that each tree gets a number, but would give average dimensions and then walk the group to see if any crown spread, diameter of trunk or height were considerably different. I'd also mention any significant features. This would enable each tree to be individually annotated, whilst also not spending silly amounts of time on measuring trees which MAY have quite similar features and dimensions. I.e a line of Lombardy poplar for instance.
  3. Sounds about right. Hard going in forestry, always has been. I don't envy foresters.
  4. I'd explain to them that whilst you were doing it to them for no cost, your payment was a deal you have done with a firewood merchant. That deal has now been cancelled due to them changing the quantity of wood available to you directly. As a result you can not carry out the work for them at no cost. If they ask how much you would charge them, then 'price the job properly with a written quote etc in case they play hard ball upon completion. If they say that to much, just say that is your 'price, no compromise. And I wouldn't waste any more time on it than that if twas me in your situ. Good luck 👍
  5. Darin Turnbull. Is that the michocain possibly?
  6. Paul, on that basis is why I said city suburban. Solely arbs, i reckon they got nearly 130 on books.
  7. Alan Mitchells field guide works well for me.
  8. One other thing to consider, those trees; through the removal of such a significant mass of wood and therefore foliage producing buds, will consequently have lost a large source of stored carbohydrates and other beneficial nutrients and minerals stored in the wood. Additionally through the loss of the buds, the tree will have lost a lot of potential energy through lack of foliage in spring and summer this year. Your trees will subsequently over the next few years look to address this loss, with the vast amount of regrowth you will find occurring the tree will begin to establish a balance of the root and shoot equilibrium. This will allow the tree to replenish it's energy reserves. This will assist the tree over the forth coming 5-8 years in defending against ill health, by removing any of the new growth over the next two to four years you risk putting the tree under further adverse stresses. I would say upon reflection of my earlier post, and the advice of others, you either leave them, and live life with them, untouched for several years,or bite the bullet and replant.
  9. You spend half your life in your bed, why not make it comfortable, the outlay is justifiable in my opinion. Sales line they're lol
  10. Do not buy the dfs mattress steve. Do some reading up about it, ergoflex is my bed brand. Previously owned the dfs mates sunk in middle on both sides, they're crap. You need to read up about the density of the foam and few other factors. A good company will tell you these details. When I got my ergoflex one, the sales team eventually thought I was a competitor as I asked so many questions about the manufacturing process, but well worth it. and they were really helpful once knew I was genuine customer. Dfs mattress meant to have 12 year guarantee, after two, we tried to return it, but the returns inspector said you must sweat in bed, you have ruined the mattress. Really bad service and put quality. HAVE I MENTIONED FOR YOU TO DO SOME RESEARCH AND ERGOFLEX YET 😉 Get googling
  11. Built to order, leave space at front for a mounted chipper, be great bit of kit
  12. Was joking. Nice trailer that. What's empty weight of it out of curiosity
  13. Lol say hello to dirk from Mr bullman, he was a regular before arbtalk took over his life
  14. That's for tipping sheep and pigs up to get theminto field. Be no good for tree work im afraid
  15. Ah there in lies there problem then. Instead of reading about Rita from Worksop, or jean from hamslow, you need to get tech savvy and read bbc 'the click'. Any road, can't stop and chat, I'm off to use my word processor to write up some quotes.
  16. If only there was a way of tracking down address from number plate, I'd go around and put a note on car or through the door. Dear sir, I thought I would pay you a visit seems as though you have visited my house twice lately. Would you like to be my friend? I'm sure we would get along just fine. You look great in your picture. Please see attached below. Love and hugs, the owner of the CCTV you like to appear on. If questioned how you got address, say saw number plate when passing his property.
  17. You could leave them, they will highly likely grow back with lots of quick growing shoots. You could try and make good the shape that you have been left with to enable a more easy on the eye crown to develop. Some reshaping of the remaining trees crown to bring it into balance as best as possible, with a eye for future regrowth and shape being considered. With either advice option you are likely to have some branches not recover and will die. This can be good for ecological habitat etc. Alternatively cut your losses, fell and grind out stumps, replant another tree, and position it to enable it to grow without the need for pruning. You should consider many things when choosing a species to plant. But the right tree in the right place should not need much pruning if chosen with an informed decision being made. You do not have to grind out stumps, you could leave at six foot and use as framework y top grow honeysuckle up, and it will be dead wood habitat to.
  18. Not related, but customer were working for today was telling me she had an intruder, dogs set about them and did their job, however she had a warning to keep them under control. Month or so later, another intruder, dog chased across garden and pinned the thief down. She has received an asbo now for not controlling her dogs on her own property, she has cctv showing it all as she explained it. But she was punished with asbo. So wrong I my opinion.
  19. You say mainly photos, does the blue oyster club not have a gallery you could just utilise when ever you need to use said pictures sailor
  20. Could you not print it all off and put it on the dash board of the transit?
  21. Looks like michocain, or knut. I climb on both but can never remember which is which. That is the not to right I comment on. Vary between four and five wrap normally. Wet dry rope dependant.
  22. Tree bloke, I know rob penlington has all Coventry stuff up on website. Warwick maybe too. Think he only works in warwick office towards end of week. Direct number for coventry office to ring Monday if you want to chat to him 02476831269. I know that they do not normally cross reference between two council office roles, but he'll let you know when to ring to get it dealt with quickly. If you have to get ring back, dont mention its warwick work else won't get call back. 01926736491, warwick office, they'll give you district office number if trees are in district zone.
  23. Does abatement of nuisance apply in such circumstances?
  24. For actual employment of arborists doing amenity tree work I reckon 'City suburban' have quite a few on the tools arbs
