  1. Still one better, RK "Lightning"
  2. Thanks for reading the articles and your interest in the RopeArmour. Is there anything in particular you liked or disliked in the articles? Have they changed the way you work? Just interested in your thoughts. Its our five yr anniversary. RopeArmours first public presentation was at your Arbfair. 2008 was a an awesome year. Keep on keepin' on I hope to have a few there. Mb even I'll show up. Hope for some rep. Cheers
  3. Well done! I had one similar. Mine used an eye bolt similar to Throwpod, handful of nuts and washers, wire lashing and finally a roll or two of rubberized tape. I left the but end a single tail so the loop would not get stuck. I was quite proud of that one but eventually I think about a 6 or so months it all rain downed on an HO's roof. Best of luck!

  5. Why do we insist on comparing price alone, much more to it than just cheap. RopeKnight is multipurpose rope access device and system.
  6. 1. the tree is covered in limbs and so should catch or slowdown a mistrow 2. the vinyl is soft enough for most homes and landscapes and the foam is about as soft as you can get/like a marshmallow:marchmellow: and is my choice over glass and cars, like getting hit with a nerf ball. Cheers:bebored:
  7. hard anodized aluminum 10oz is fine for most Trees and sleeve or insert wt Fast up fast down. Slips past everything with No slowdown
  8. Have you tried this? It is LEAD? It will smash to bits.
  9. We pray this ends any further rumors. RopeArmor/Knight has not accused any one of copying. We believe an unintentional form infringement has occurred. No need to minimize or maximize the similarities or the differences. It is what it is. RopeKnight is the original innovation that utilizes this specific form plus incorporates the form into multiple tools and anything contrary will be scrutinized. Tony, Diana and I met in 2008 at the UK Arb Fair and since then have communicated several times with regards to the RopeKnight. The RopeArmor and Darbyshire friendship will continue honorably.
  10. Please pm me at [email protected]. Lets try to work this 90pounds:thumbup1:
  11. Heads out of the fox hole again. Please reply with a value you would be more apt to purchase a basic RopeKnight? And rate your level of interest, 1 HIGH and 5 LOW? Many here believe the RopeKnight is over priced. Yes I agree. Over priced compared to traditional weights. As most know, it accomplishes much more, is quite an improvement, consists of a total of 6 tools in one device and is proving itself in the work place to save arbclimbers considerable time and money. Plus RA is Guaranteed for Life. Plenty of ringing endorsements. Please, compare the RopeKnight to other tools of comparable quality, material, finish and machining and also consider the amount of time, effort and money invested into educating the arb community of this innovation. We are listening and so are distributors and dealers. Here is your opportunity to let everyone know how you feel about the cost and your interest. If you have never replied to a thread, please do. If you are interested to learn about the costs involved to bring innovation to the marketplace I have considerable experience and insight to share. Ask away! BTW We are celebrating our 5th Anniversary this year.
  12. Thanks Kevin... not only for this endorsement but also for your Singing Tree Rope Wrench. It to has paid for itself many times over, in dollars and by creating a more varied, enjoyable and effecient climb experience. Cheers
  13. There is one other point that helps extend throw line life. RopeKnight and RopeShield extends throw line life with the A. the small frictionless, radiused and hard anodized aluminum nose cone When pulling on lines to retrieve, isolate Tips and position ropes RopeArmor creates a safer, faster, smoother and easier throw line handling experience requiring less force If you want to reduce the cycles to failure on your throw lines and stop having to repair/knot them because the lines get tired and they just continue to snap over and over. RopeKnight is guaranteed to make your lines last longer. Guaranteed improved performance over traditional throw balls extends throw line life. B. Also RopeKnight has the ability for a knotless connection housed within the device. No Knots means more working strength and longer throw line life. How many of us use throwlines to pull hangers, dead wood or in felling trees? It is far better feeling to know your line has acceptable working strength than to trust something that has been yanked on over and over, full of knots and wear. It is about maintaining throw line strength as well as reducing the wear and tear. RA. Add it up! Cheers
  14. Always two unless the second is inline with the saw, rigging, fall of limb etc.
  15. I am content with the thought the world will be here and in the end we may not. With the amount of radiation drifting around the earth all that we do now is in anticipation of the GM snowball turning into a _____?
  16. Try this! <=> Hard anodized ali, optimal geometric shape/form and near frictionless finish all work together to help prevent a tree or tree part failure when isolating the TIP, retrieving the RK and positioning the access rope. When it is necessary to pull a device around, up and down and every which way in a crown quickly, smooth and easy. Which would you choose a soft malleable, material bag with a ring, a ball and ring or RK. We choose the Rk with its double ended smooth raduised frictionless cone with no ring that decouples to reveal a hollow body that effectively smoothes over the transition from throwlines to access ropes upto 23mm. with a total of 6 tools in one. Any situation where the tree or tree parts(deadwood, hangers etc) has high potential for failure and any shaking, wiggling etc of said tree and tree parts could cause harm. Being able to secure the tree or tree parts with ropes and effectively do this without shaking or wiggling something loose. The picture is of a Gleditsia that failed in a Backyard and any shaking or the accumulative effect of shaking of the tree prior to the install of securing ropes may have damaged a pretty cool landscape and pond with fish. Tried my best to be clear and concise. Let me know if this works for you>

  18. I wish I truly miss your Black Rat Cider, the country side and pretty women! My third yr study tour was London and country side in 85 and in 98 for your Arbor Fair. Shipping, hopefully a distributor will stock RopeKnights in the UK. New talks have started and information needs to be shared. Some of that info being what an arbclimber values a device of this nature Cheers Off the top, what do you think is a fair price for 2 pieces of machined and anodized ali, 1 piece of machined stainless steel and a machined coupling bolt that is Guaranteed for Life? An appropriate comparison would be something along the lines of RopeKnight to Ropewrench, Positioner, etc. Here is the pics again for closer examination/valuation.
  19. Should delete the above post. Handing out ideas?
  20. I know! whole new game at hand. Handys and cordless this and that I am constantly battling my children to get off the cordless and sit at the corded phone and to take the DS and other handhelds of their nuts. So many things to be cautious of. I plan this week to have this computer at stand up station. Pop Sci has an article warning that sitting down causes cancer. I know a person that had a small puppy/growth removed from his hip where his cell phone clipped to his belt for year. CrazY World
