  1. Some engines use a cooler in the egr circuit so the hot gases do not lower the engine performance by introducing hot gases. Some engines also rely on this cooler to lower cylinder temps period so if you take the egr circuit you run the risk of engine damage. This tends to only be on later over blown high out put small engines.
  2. Sounds like a good idea having busted my tits for twenty years to pay off a mortgage and ridden through 7 years of neg equity. I would be up for a cheap house I can rent out as part of my pension plan.
  3. .82 is fairly high I think the limit is 3. I am sure even my 16 year old landcruiser returns .1. I don't think low mileage well maintained stuff up to ten years old is the problem. The problem is high mileage badly maintained stuff and anything pre emmissions zone. Also we are not going to make a huge difference as a small island when the super States don't give a toss.
  4. There ideal on old vehicles as you can have one set for tree chopping and loping and another set for facias and cladding and when disposing of waste you can take them off.
  5. The vehicles that suffered on the paint were all white I have a feeling metallic paint may be better quality so may not. Watch any iron fillings and don't leave them on for days at a time. When you place them on dont scrunch them around too much.
  6. I have a few sets but never use them on decent vans as they wreck the paint. Ok on an 8 year old van but due to over use of electronics in diesels it's now a case of make sure they are not over 5 years and when we sell them generally unmarked.
  7. Perhaps the D1 were rated higher does that match up with the vin plate under the bonnet. Over 3 tonne commercials need a class 7 mot. My local station has always moted my disco vans and they cant go over 3 tonne for vans. The payload was never great on any of them about 700kg inc driver. So if they weigh around 2300kg mt that would be about right for 3 tonne.
  8. I think our local charges £10 a tonne for top soil or clean rubble. Or £120 tonne for mixed waste min 1 tonne charge so the bigger the trailer the better.
  9. I can't remember any of my disco commercials grossing more than the cars. They carry a little more weight as they are lighter to begin with.
  10. Had this problem with my 1998 could not programme the ignition key as the door switch was faulty. The door switches connect the negative to chassis both could be faulty and both go back to a terminal block near the fuse box. Mine was not faulty at the switch but in the wiring loom.
  11. Come back female arb 😊 I think I liked your page give us a shout if you need kindling. Adam knows us good to see things are going well
  12. Take the woodmizer labels off it could be worth more.
  13. Have you tried taylors expresso may be just my taste buds but cant find anything in the supermarkets to come close will try m&S next
  14. Thanks for taking the time to post the info. You have confirmed what I was told by the dealer that imports the machine. I was tempted to buy one with a decent grinder. I have killed 3 gaggias in 15 years and recently stripped the boiler what I found was a bit grim and now always flush the boiler before making coffee. I think by flushing the rancillio you speed up the warm up process ? Making proper coffee is a right faff but I combine it with loading the dish washer and cleaning the kitchen. I went on holiday for a week and never had coffee but had head aches when I returned to uk I was about to be taken to hospital with suspected brain tumour when the doctor sussed out it was coffee withdrawal :001_smile:a bucket off expresso and I was as right as rain.
  15. Does your rancillio take a bit of time to get up to temp. I like the idea of the stainless boiler rather than running my brew through an ally boiler
  16. Yes next time i need coffee will take the mountain bike and leave the Landcruiser at home.
  17. I give up on tea untill which did a test and said sainsburys breakfast fairtrade was good and they were right. I make sure the brita filter is in date and get a good cup of tea:thumbup:
  18. Taylor's expresso from sainsburys or asda. Head and shoulders above the rest as far as my taste buds are concerned. For the best you need to go to a specialist coffee supplier.
  19. Para source make them for the emer servs 2ft one for £200 on eBay. Good kit allot of the rest is Chinese crap.
  20. No problem hope to meet soon.
  21. I think I worked out with mesh sides and a 3500 kg gross trailer you could get 600 on loaded singularly weighing 2500 kg. If you have no mesh sides we could try 4 pallets and some round the outside possibly 500 in total.
  22. You should be able to claim for the 4x4 although they have changed the rules. Most are high on emmissions so you can only offset 8% of the value per year but if you keep it a few years you will get it back. The pick ups are commercial so you get 100% of the value in the first year so very good at taking chucks out of a big tax bill. If you are limited then avoid cars full stop better to own them privately and charge the business 40 p a mile for business use.
  23. We can get 90 on a pallet at £1.80 + vat per bag. A pallet to most parts of the country is around £60 + vat. Most of our larger customers collect loose to get more on their truck then palletise on return to base. It does not take long for 4 people to hand ball a 1000 bags.
  24. If your looking for kindling through the summer let me know. We have a huge stock of top quality material but limited dry storage for end product. With the mild winter and our increased production we will be running out of room soon
  25. If anyone has a take down. My wood burner loves beech, ash, oak, birch, sync, maple or similar. I have a couple of large ifor trailers to whisk it away and the beer or kfc is on me.
