  2. just had a proper result. e-mail came through to say that they didnt have the crestas in stock after all so i cancelled and rang stuart sports and got them £50 cheaper, should be here by friday. thanks for the link rich! there's a few left if anyones tempted too . . .
  3. yeah, it is a proper ballache. i cant help with the AKU's as mine havn't come yet but i found my salewas came up on the small side if anything. they are great boots, just not up to treework

  6. yeah, its a real shame about the salewas as they are really nice boots. at least youve had the same problems drew and i didnt just get a dodgy pair. I got them from the outdoor warehouse which i guess is the same place as you rich. not sure if i paid a bit too much but i couldnt find them anywhere else. Glad to hear youve got good things to say about the crestas john, i'm looking forward to giving them a try when they arrive, i bet your glad you couldnt get hold of the salewas now!
  7. cheers rich, i've only heard good things about them so i'm looking forward to trying them out. i see what you mean about being low cut at the back though, i guess like you say its to allow more movement but thats at the expense of a bit of support. How are yours holding up so far?
  8. ive had my salewas 2 - 3 months now and theyre not holding up very well, ive broken off 3 eyelets already. theyre really good in the tree but i just don't think theyre up to working every day. it's a shame as they are really nice boots. ive got a pair of akus like rich's on the way and im hoping theyre as good as i've been told and as well built as they look.
  9. I'm posting this on behalf of somebody else. Self employed groundsman needed for 2-3 days a week but possibly leading to more. Needs to be qualified and competent to use a saw and aerial rescue. driving licence essential. If you think you can help please pm me and i'll pass on the relevant details, thanks
