heres one at the base.....quite young isnt it?......this is where i took a slice from.......will go tomorrow and have another look. Would the tube colouration change with age? -

havent no.....but can get one. it was a pretty even colour throughout though......will go see again. -

Thought initially this would be rigi......but took a little segment from the base which appeared to be perreniporia (as it only had pale flesh).....were quite young fruiting bodies so maybe the tube colouration changes as it ages??? quite high up though. -

i work in oaks day in day out......even getting out to the peripheral to do tip pruning and 10/15% reductions.....i'm 15 stone and never had a problem with failures like that.

toast some pumpkin, sunflower, linseeds, quartered almonds or nuts of your choice.........once toasted add a few t spoons of good soy sauce.......great snack food for during the day.....and tastes amazing.

feel free to add more.......i'm sure the big monkeyD has some from his basque travels. These are a few from over xmas.......aerial roots of fiscus elastica were amazing.....spot the dodgems in the background. Also found an abandoned school with some fantastic weathered pines. will post some vet sweetchestnuts from up north another time.

Hama has all the photos of the day......i took about two! Had a day off...... Didnt go to galicia unfortunately.......although glad in a way......full on snow up there. I was down south.....even had a xmas day swim although froze my proverbials off. Took the bloody great hangover pretty sharpish though. might take a day off and come over to burnham for a day while you're there......would that be ok?

Hi david....happy new year to you to!!! Yea had a fantastic time in spain........fine dining and fine wines....v.nice. Met up with the ~hama.......had a great day stomping all around the park.....he wa slike a kid in a candy shop. I.d'd plenty of funghi for me and was a fine source of informative observations......top day:thumbup1:

Ancient woodlands; veteran trees at Burnham Beeches - Oxon-Bucks Division meeting | RFS I have asked for more details etc for this event. Not sure if it is open to non memebers or anything. (hope not or i will not be going!!) Will post more info if/when i get it. P.S. A belated happy new year to you all. What gets me is how he thinks that Alan Pardew is a more high profile, experienced manager:confused1: I've got a real soft spot for the toon and would love to see them do well.....but part of me wishes that they go into freefall......... I wish that the players started showing some unity and support for sacked managers. They all say how much they enjoy playing for hughton.......well show some loyalty and refuse to play on sunday against liverpool!!!
