Anybody eaten honey fungus????? I've just been reading that it is highly sought after in italy where they use it as an antipasto or cooked in pasta!!!! I'm all for foraging for free food so wondered what it was like.

Richmond Park I work here......it has about 1200 veteran trees........mostly oaks but also veteran beech, hornbeam, limes, hawthorns. London has some fantastic places to visit off the tourist trail.

Spent my lunch break watching this stag. Hre was being led a right merry dance by the girlies.....fantastic to watch and at times very funny. Also felt blessed knowing that this is my 'office'...climbing trees in such a great environment........who'd of thought this is London!!

Thats why I love working in Richmond Pk.......it could be anywhere in london. Defiantely come for a visit next time. I'm sure your wife would love the shopping in Rich,mond too.....lots of lovely little independant shopsso you will both be happy!

Stress reliever......last time i tried carving.....it kept going wrong.....then i cut my thumb on a chisel.....kicked the garage door and nearly broke my toe.

Thats a great idea.......have often thought that there is not enough info from the guys who actually work with trees day in and day out. Properties of wood between species. (does it tear, snap, brittle, flexible)etc etc How different trees have responded to pruning. How different species of tree has responded to fungal invasion. Anything and everything we all know. This could be the beginning of the Arb Talk book Arborists.

I have my tech cert exams you want to sell.next week and need a DBH tape measure. Having just spent lots of money on various work related stuff I could do with out spending a whole lot more cash right now. Has anybody got a DBH measuring tape they no longer use that I could buy from them? If so please let me know. I could also do with getting a waterproof writing board and have just seen that these sell for nearly 50 quid!!! So if any one has 1 laying about please let me know if sell. Many thanks.
