  7. I've had mac books for years.....not a single breakdown....not a single virus. Apple for me all the way. The one i'm using now was a refurb. Brand new it was with one replaced faulty part. In 3 years not a single problem and it was £300 off list price. Go to apple refurb on the net and see what they got. Even a secondhand one where a computer bod has traded up will be worth it. If you shop around you'll get a deal i'm sure. They are so user friendly too. can still run windows etc.

  11. Whilst in the park the other day photographing fruiting bodies a colleague asked me about fungi on hawthorn. He remarked that he had not seen any and whether I knew of any. I hadn't thought about this until then......and actually i haven't seen any either. What fungi is associated with crataegus species? Has anybody seen anything?

    Pholiota

Picture 1, 2 and 3 Pholita Adiposa or Aurivella.? Found on Beech. The distinguishing features between these two are quite small but I'm leaning toward Adiposa even though it is classed as infrequent/rare. 4, 5 and 6 Pholoita Squarrosa. Found at base of Oak.
