  3. ive found that a lot of your more 'modern' greases dry up quicker & make things worse,, different application i know but a customer of mine bought loads of aerosol grease, white, chain, ptfe based etc etc,,,,,, he has used them on his van taillift chains, no end of problems since!!!! im with the rednecks....... goosefat all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  11. whist out delivering hay this morning, 150 tightly packed bales, on 7.5 tonne cargo........ i was stopped by the police,,, without a doubt too wide, possibly verging on overweight!!! the young copper asks me why didnt i stop when he put blue lights on, i reply that i didnt see him..... next comes the 'why have i stopped you'..... well, a stupid question deserves a sarcastis answer i think!!! i replyed 'for speeding' 15 miles an hour!!!!!!!!! could not believe he then started to fill out paperwork to prosecute me for an in-secure load based on the fact it was secured by..........................rope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! how i have laughed!!! im lookin forward to this court date!!!!! lol!!!
  12. as amazing as ever!!!!!! how long did it take?????
  13. from what ive seen, the illegals have gotten wise to the paperwork, h&s etc, and as previously stated,, they outwork the average british labourer, one of my customers runs a small skip firm/recycling yard, 2x 18 tonne trucks on the road. he has a jcb in the yard & a mid thirties lithuaniun, another customer has similar business etc etc but has a 360 with grapples + 3 full time young english layabouts.. i mean lads!! it surprised me how well the 1 illegal worked with minimum fuss & equipment, & shamefully probably recycled more of the skip contents than the british lads did, i hate to admit it but,,,, everytime, in an unskilled labour situation, our lads aint fairing very well!!!
  14. i didnt see the programme, are you guys employing any 'illegals'??? lots of my customers [not in arb work] have given work away to eastern europeons, in fairness thou, come rain or shine the blokes are at work...... im sure & having read a lot of threads that most of/all of the members on here are honest hard working grafters, its a shame that's not the case across all of our manual trades,, so far as i can see great britain is sadly now broken britain!!?? let us know your thoughts
  15. if the wood is for sale then please contact me...... [email protected] cheers
  16. hammerite underseal with added waxoyl........ awesome in an aerosol... sticks to your arms like ......... something very sticky!! best stuff ive found!!
  17. a difficult one mate as they seem to corrode from the inside outwards, if you have the time then mid-summer get some waxoil into the hidden crevices, for general underfloor i will agree that waxoil is to thin, however, there is an aerosol underseal that contains waxoil, it doesnt competly dry out & seems to help out, i apply it to all my customers chassis repairs, cant think of the brand name thou!!! ill add it tomorrow!!!!!!!!
  18. weve been paying around 50p,, not bothering with our own tank any longer due to theft..... im unsure what has happened to our derv tank thou, i can only presume its a chemical reaction... the tank now has been filled with 'ribena'!!!!!!!!!!! cheap lot of blackcurrant from fleabay!!!! it has a diesel smell to it.. from being in the tank, & the right sort of colour!!!!!! filled it a week ago, about 200 litres have gone!!!!!!!!!!!! im aware that ive probably created a headache & undoubtedly upset a few a people, hey-ho!!! ive not laughed so much 4 ages!!!
  19. sorry, added wrong 2nd pic, that one is little bit older than 10 weeks!!
  20. the new addition!!! 10 weeks old!!
  21. my autodata book gives it due at 80,000, if in doubt if its not had one already then book it in, as others have already said..... a small price in comparison to a top-end re-build!!!!
  22. i need to make some 32" horseshoes for a local country show, im i right in presuming the fungi will be present throughout the wood?? im happy to leave the offcuts to 'grow' ive been reading some of links on fungi..... amazing stuff! cheers rob
  23. apologies if ive put this in wrong place!!!! about a year ago i bought some big lumps of beech with the idea of using them for some carvings, i moved some stuff today to make a start only to find them covered in fungi?? can anyone tell me if this will die if i dry the wood, or any other ideas of how to get rid of!! or is it best to turn it into firewood!!! cheers:confused1:
