  1. if you think its going to take 2 days price it for 2 days. as long as your taking into acount your truck will fill up nice and quick and allowed time for tipping off etc
  2. i never no why trees like this get felled, cant we just stick a notice up and people who want to sit under it do so at there own risk. i hate all the health and safety everyone trying to cover them selfs world we live in.
  3. looks like its just been repollarded to me, would be a shame to fell it as it looks like theres no targets, maybe a footpath. the amount of bugs that will be liveing in that.
  4. perfect set up to have both, wish i could. tracked chippers are nuts on the right job esspecially good at pulling over trees or dragging trees i find. not good on stately home lawns though
  5. tracked chippers are only good on woodland jobs, site clearance, cause most domestic jobs you need to take woodchip away so chipper can only get as near to tree as your truck.
  6. well put together video there ian
  7. my attempts 2nd picture being my shameful one which i mucked up by undercutting my hinge on one side plus not taking the small buttress off the far side.
  8. 50% chestnut reduction horrible tree to climb since its a coppice long and thin poles, with nothing on and anything that is on them snaps if you step on it. had green house and shed under it on the back side. back to the yard at 1 easy friday before you perfectionists, like me want to no why the sides arent touched at the bottom customer wanted them left hate that when it would just take a few minutes with the poles and it would look thousand times better for it.
  9. have now yes left 2ft stump as thats going to have a bird bath on it, horrible stuff to get through the chipper.

  21. if its on windows movie maker you will have to save it to your computer, then upload it to youtube then post a link on here to the youtube address:thumbup1:
  22. 1 big mistake being not adding the video then
  23. petzl traxion is a good tool for this very job, its a pulley with a rope grab on it so you can set that up on the line where you want and lock it off then attach the rigging pulley to that.
  24. done this before in tight spots where the whole zone is patioed works very well indeed you can even set to lines 1 for the rigging and 1 for your anchor
  25. defo top set up that would take alot to fill that truck up with chip i like it
