Put it on the tree done the ratchet tight went to readjust it only to realise we couldnt undo it because of the oiltank up against the tree we couldnt open the ratchet to undo it

Was a good day bit windy but turned out alright in the end. Was good to meet a good bunch of lads. Was great to be on the other end of the rope lowering stuff for a change

Buy cheap buy twice its so true people sell them when there old and tired. You spend a one off payment and say u get a alright machine for 4 grand its got to last 1-2 years for it to be remotely worth while because the new one costs me £2520 a year ive got a new machine no faults if there are i wont be paying for them and its going to get cheaper and cheaper each time i buy one because ill have this chipper as a deposit for the replacement

Tragic news! This is exactly why i refuse to use mewps now there just not natural what they do how far they reach height they go etc etc

Deposit is min 10% of machines value 11grand so 1100 is min put down what i did then you finance 9900 over 5 yrs or pay lump sums as and when to lower the monthly payments but 1600 extra isnt alot based over 5yrs

Well they sell for 11grand new atm my mate a few months back layed down 4grand he pays 120 a month for his its surprising how affordable new kit can be

Best advice i would give if you want a small chipper get a timberwolf 125 brand new on finance i put down the least i could as deposit my monthly payments are 210 all in each month for 5 yrs but think it only has to go twice a month to pay for that and you have a brand new machine which after 5 yrs will still be worth over half what you bought it for!!!

There truck is there only mode of transport i could get much cheaper groundies i wouldnt do it though some things are worth more than extra bit of cash id trust them to rescue me as they can climb aswell etc etc

Cant charge 500quid here either 380 to 450 is the norm here for 2 guys and chipper

They come in there truck its the same rate if i use it or i dont.

No typo ive been there and worked from the bottom at 25quid a day 6years ago wen i first left college you can live off peanuts you get what you pay for im happy with the 2 guys i use i no i cud ring them up middle of xmas dinner they would help me out they have all kit tipper trucks no how to use ropes good with customers and hard grafters good groundies work just as hard if not more so than climbers so they deserve to be paid for it.

I pay groundies £140 plus a day i wont work for less than £140 when i climb for people so wont expect others to either!

Ive got the stein dual bollard ill bring with me i was under the impression matty was climbing it but 2 climbers better always better than 1

Ive got a iphone simply because few of my mates in the trade have had them for couple years without breaking, ive dropped mine of of a 60ft tree not a scratch on it plus it does all u need it for fone email internet etc etc good phone!
