  1. Only downfall is the jockey wheels i can find in the 5yrs ive used em. Thats the reason i bought the old quad bike to get it in the garage save pushing it on my own across the lawn
  2. There getting more and more popular and the price is getting higher and higher so i took the plunge while i could!
  3. New toy picked up today gareth smith was gutted he bought new 1 few months ago and they have made loads of decent changes in beefing up the wheel arches and rear lights.
  4. Part of todays job silver birch reduction to hot for work mc flurry went down a treat afterwards!
  5. Just annoys me how stubid some people are to put a new shed next to it then ask for tree work ahh well works work hey
  6. This mornings job took all of hour from turning up to leaving 30ft leggy silver birch why do people build round trees and or let them get that big?
  7. Ill be up for it ian ill try get gareth aswell
  8. Irons irons irons!!!!!! Made hard work of it though as usual!
  9. Cheers mark sure looks like its been topped now probs the best in norfolk Rupe The job i wouldnt rate at all cause it sucked Customer made up for him self transfered all the bill straight after we finished made drinks left house open for loo etc etc Financial reward not good but its not a loss so cant complain in the end, plus he said he will be getting in contact for it again in 5 years so in the long run quite rewarding
  10. Nope i didnt make a fortune nor did i lose out so cant complain really just frustrating with traffic guys if they made the first day it would have been over and done with day 1 but there we are assume the worse with them is the lesson for the future.
  11. Never mind its all what ifs i guess jobs done and i can forget it for few years now lol
  12. Because if all went to plan with traffic guys the first day we would have taken that tree out real easy just dead easy taking less off with a crane is harder i find Because of the height it doesnt have low branches in the road if it was taken to where i would take it, when it shoots again it would hang in the road. Cheers i dont feel like all the credit is justified really for a hardly pro job The fingers moment in the vid is a cringe moment i no
  13. I made it much in his interest with the price to remove the tree because it would have been easier to do, but he wanted to keep i personally would have taken it much lower about 10ft above the main fork only problem is it would hang in the road
  14. Because its a old tree for a poplar showing signs of decay. When we turned up today some fungus had appeared round the base dont no what it was. Alot of the timber we took off today was hollow centered aswell.
  15. I would do the job again, i can see why people didnt fancy doing it. As for the image i hated leaving it half done looked awful but i dont think many people take notice really, wasnt tpo'd it had been pollarded to the previous heights every 5 yrs hes had it done 5 times since hes been there. It would have been same again pollard but he had report done which recommended reducing by 2 meters from previous points.
  16. Cheers yer feeling good its done feel even better when i get paid for it now. They get it done every 5years least its been cut right off the road now so wouldnt be to bad now he says!
  17. Soo we went back to finish off with traffic control they set up in a completely different road so lost nearly 2 hours ringing them up and getting them to right place! Only took couple hours finish it off. Thanks to kristian from waveney getting up early with there platform to get there.
  18. Looks like a monster! Few quid in firewood there!
  19. Was going to say seems expensive and alot of hassle the price i pay for 25 tonner is 260/280+vat half day and 360+vat for full day no paperwork either
  20. He was good on the tea front in playboy mugs aswell if you like that sorta thing he was also one of those walking around under things but there we are its started now so will get finished im waiting for traffic guys give me a definete date then go back in big platform should be couple hours work
  21. Yer he wanted the work doing dont no if he was forced to do it or not i no he had a tree survey i havent seen myself says reduce by 2meters from previous pollard points He was polite about it but deadly serious if you no what i mean didnt want it touched so i didnt even dare rake it up.
  22. Yup thats why crane had to go next door he wont let us even lower stuff on ropes or crane onto the grass "thats a brand new lawn" he always refers to
  23. This was private tree not council ian im surprised no tpo on it either i wish it was 7cm tall lol yer elbows alright on the mend just cant lift heavy rings etc with it yet been over a month since i done it aswell i was more than happy for the crane to move me round the tree lol
  24. Cheers guys thats exactly what i feel like gibbon prove my self that i can do what ever is put infront of me not always a good thing i no. We did try and book traffic slot first. mistake i made was listening to client wanting it done quickly (which i never do) and guys i use one is on holiday next week the other the week After. So everything was rushed and was stubid on my part really. Thats the downfall of it if traffic were there we would have easily done it yesterday. I reackon it will be a definete laughing point in future lets hope i dnt get asked back in few years to re pollard it lol Cheers andy yer if i could do it over again i still dont think id go down the rig option i was much more comfortable with the crane on that tree my preference i just hate pops rigging them.
  25. He would rather you cut it all onto traffic and smash cars than walk on his grass though stephen
