  2. I'm in awe as always, Reg!
  3. We read this at lunchtime. I have to admit it didn't put us in the best frame of mind to carry on with a fairly big beech dismantle. Thoughts to his family.
  4. ah, cheers!!
  5. i'd love to try AP, but no one has any in the uk, do they?
  6. ???? So no cider, apple juice, apple crumble, apple pie....apples!?? I'd go for the more conventional laylandii, bramble and acacia should of been left in africa.
  7. RIP - he was one of the most respected members of the uk skate scene. what awful news! some tributes on the forum he used to post on lots.... Rest in Peace Steven 'Bingo' Binks - Sidewalk Skateboarding Forum | Chat for skateboarders

  10. hodge, that ditch is the barrow one yeh? it's been seshed since the 80's i think, and is good to skate, but a bit manky (inch layer of human s***/mud in parts) in this video matey ollie into it (0.15) [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhs6gKKXVAI]YouTube - Rogie Magic Sticky Hand[/ame]
  11. nice coro's! i might ask the boss if i can try one on a council tree (if in the right situ) if it looks awful, i can just flush cut!
  12. Hi all, i accidentally turned my yale xtc climbing line into a 2m strop today so need to replace it. My friction cord is fairly knackered aswell. How are people getting on with Imori compared to 13mm ropes? Also opinions on 8mm yale beeline please!
  13. Some of the wind casualties we have had to clear up for the LA. Both Ash in this case, although we have had to clear up several others (inc a fairly big dead oak that landed about 3ft from patio doors!) The one over the river fell in exactly the same position as a poplar did a few months back! (my not so happy workmate in the last picture dicing the poplar)
  14. haha, what a sod! we used to get interference on the tv when a neighbours' moped went past, about 20ft from the tv. didn't realise it could happen from hedge trimmers 10 doors down...
  15. at 0.48 that curved ledge is in so many late nineties skateboard vids i have! bloody skate stoppers at each end!!
  16. also hodge, could you let me know where that ditch is? i could pass the info onto some people who would make use of it. pm if needed, cheers
  17. i skate (board) as much as time allows and when i'm not knackered from work (so not much!). i got into it about 12 years ago, got quite good and then found other things (you know). i now have a board with carbon fibre inserts inside the wood ply so i don't snap the board (im just over 14st now, not fat, just 6'4") this one's for you steve - me a few years ago on a mini ramp made from pallets and flexible tracking! 18. thanks judge!
  19. janey - my flat tenancy runs out in may, so i will hopefully be living in it over the summer - it will save £600+ a month in rent, council tax, bills etc i got it really cheap so if i get to the point where it's needing a bit too much work (shouldn't do), i can get my money back. it is structurally sound, not even any proper rust to speak of on wheel arches and cab floor. MOT'd last august and sat around since - started first time after 5 months!
  20. Just bought an old Bedford Cf ambulance to convert into a campervan. I'll post pictures of the progress over the next few months (read: years) It's been used as a gun bus for a few years. Bit of a clean needed and in the future a new engine and poss gearbox, although this one is fine for local travelling. I would of liked the big renault, though
  21. i would say £70 a day would be fair if this is one of your first jobs. But if they're willing to pay more then
