  5. Liam, if you are going under the radar, then do the opposite and be the first one to ask for more instruction from your tutor, that is their job. You are there for the reason of learning, make them teach you! If you can hook up with any of the locals off here, then that would also be a big step in the right direction... do some real world climbs with real world climbers. Come on guys... someone take the lad out on a limb!
  6. Cant someone go climb with this original poster, give him the confidence he needs? I would if I could mate, but I cant.

  20. Took down a big silver maple over 2 1/2 days this week, (no before pic, just during) got 2/3rds of the rigging done in one day before the rain... tricky stuff, wires on 3 sides of the tree, then another half day to get the last bit down (plus the wood) to the stump, those wires were close! Left that front limb in the 1st pic to rig the big wood over the wires. Worked out good. Got in the toro dingo to help out, which is a real back/life saver! Some pics...
  21. Was back at work yesterday! Dismantling a LARGE silver maple in a backyard, with wires around 75% of the tree. Got 2/3rds done.. then took down an oak with the bucket today, hired a Toro Dingo, and got the job done by 4, then tmrw back to finish the maple... hope we can get it finished...
  22. What he said! The guys in Sweden gave me these to use in -23c temps, and they kept me warm! And they give a very good grip.
  23. ag jesus! Nasty! I had a close shave the other day, with a big forklift. One of its tines nearly castrated me. That would have been a real bad day! Be careful people!
  24. TBH that was really pretty stupid.
