  1. no its on an old rotten fruit tree, looks like a damsel or plum couldn't quite tell:blushing: went back today but no change in it, will go back in a few days with an update
  2. Some where hiding at the base and just around a Sycamore, the others where hiding in and around the ferns! The picture of the golf ball size agaric, well, went back today and it had fully opened but I forgot me camera doh!

Comin from someone who has just started looking out for fungus more than i ever have before:blushing:, what is you most favourite specimen that you have come across/found and why? Also whats you favourite shot/piccy you've ever taken? And can i see haha!!

  13. also found this today underneath a leylandii hedge (i really need a book haha) was about 3-4 inches across
  14. they are next to a small (6" across about 15') grey/hybrid pop i took out about 5-6 weeks ago in a small pyracantha hedge/planter in a residential home gardens in liverpool. I went back to do another part of the job about 2-3 weeks ago and these had appeared about one foot away from the stump of the said pop. In the vicinity (5-10m away) are at least 8 largish (18"-20" across and about 40') pops that hang over the property walls over a v.busy main road. There are also pop suckers EVERYWHERE (one of the jobs was to get rid of all the suckers). I only ask coz i'm fighting a losing battle with my boss when it comes to things like this (as mentioned previously) and am also interested on the relationship between trees and fungus Cheers hama for the help
  15. i had exactly the same damage on one of our 200T's at work, the plastic broke off in exactly the same place as the one in your first pic... thought it was just me?!
  16. Sorry for no scale in the photos but the first one is about 10-11" across. Does this help or are you sure it's the pholiotas?
  17. Been in it but not sure how to use it unless you actually know what your looking for? although it may be me just bein a bit thick!
