  1. its the fact that he has told the LA interviewers that he has no Arb qualifications and has created this "report" with my name on it that i have been dragged in for.
  2. apparently i don't think its the person on the tools as an employee that has to check but i could be wrong. both the other parties (former employer and college have been interviewed formally) and i have given the name also of my former chargehand who as yet has not been contacted. Ah crap, why me haha!!!
  3. no i was phoned up and asked to come in, and i don't believe i have commited any offence apart from being in the wrong place at the wrong time
  4. he didn't send me to do the "report" job and it wasn't a report... I was at the place hedgecutting and was asked to look at the trees, i gave a handwritten opinion of the trees on site, gave a copy to them and a copy to my boss. It was then upto other people than myself to sort the job out, i seem to have been entangled in the middle of this mess.
  5. i'll ask for one. I haven't signed it its just typed on one of his letterheads. Think they understand my point of view.. I think?
  6. ok, had my "interview" under caution today. I know they said i hadn't but it felt like i'd been arrested!! They started asking me question about my role in the company etc, told them that i was just an employee etc. Turns out my ex-employer had mocked up my "opinions" of what i thought could be done to the tree into a basic typed tree report with my name on it that i had never seen before and shown it to the council!? It turned out that they were very pleasant in the end and seemed happy (i hope) with my explanation of things.. Theres still a naggling part of me though that thinks i should be worried yet i don't think i've done anything wrong!
  7. yes the job was to pollard the trees, i cut one limb off (about a sixth of the tree)(as part of the pollard and job description) before the end of the day shift finished to get a head start on the next day. I then went home and fell ill that weekend to come back to the finished job (other workers)
  8. The truth will be told alright. I spoke to the LA guy on the phone today, he seemed pleasant and did say that it would be recorded and if i wanted it i could get a solicitor (which makes it sounds bad) he also said i could come in on my own and if i felt uncomfartable with the questions i could stop the interview
  9. without going into detail its possible he's trying to worm out of it! but surely they blaim can't be laid on myself, can it? Thanks for all opinions so far it is appreciated
  10. Received a phone call on friday whilst in france which i couldn't return till this morning. A LA near me has reqeuested me to come in for a formal interview. SCENARIO - Whilst at my previous job in the wirral, I was doing some hedge work at a local college as i was on my own as the chargehand was off and we couldn't do any tree work. Whilst there the two estates and facilities guys asked me to look at some trees for them as the college management were asking for some work to be done. I walked round site and gave them a rough opinion of what i felt could be done to the trees. There were from memory about 14/15 trees in total, 5/6 of them being ash. The ashes in question had received numerous complaints from local home owners about shedding branches but the college as far as i was told wanted to keep them. On my look around i had seen some hispidus brackets and suggested the trees be pollarded back away from the road/pavement/driveways, gave a copy of my "opinions" to the estate guys and a copy to my then boss. About 6-8 weeks later we (myself, my chargehand, and another colleague) were sent to this college to do the work that i gave an opinion on. Someone (i am presuming a local councillor?) has complained about the ash and this morning when i rung the LA up and they have asked me to come in for a formal interview i don't know where i stand. Even more to the point out of all the ash on site (i think there was 6) I only took off ONE limb off ONE tree as i was sick for 2 days in (an afternoon in hospital) with exhaustion and it was my chargehand and other colleague that did most of the work. SO, why has my name been put forward from my old boss whom i no longer work for when 1: I didn't commission the work 2: I didn't do the majority of the work: 3: It wasn't in my job specification to check for TPO's etc as there is 2 people above me before any instruction gets to me 4: Did the college not know? 5: We were told by my then boss if any tree we were working on had |TPO clearance HELP...!!

  18. Really good photees there:thumbup: David, have you tried reversing the effect? Do you think you'd get the same results with the focal point in black and white and the scene in colour..? It might only work if the focal point was the majority of the picture..? Just thought i'd throw my own 2pence worth in:blushing:
  19. jack of all trades, master of none springs to mind when i look back at all the jobs i had... some of the 'longer' professions i've had only seemed to last 3 years then i got bored... been doing this 4 now and boredom hasn't hit once so, fingers crossed:thumbup:
