  2. looked like it had been there a while, was going to get a close up of the springs and burnt engine block but then my battery died:blushing: i really am puzzled as to how it got there though, trees in the background of the pic where all around and behind me too!!

  13. thank you janey:thumbup: i do see your point stumpgrinder but i don't agree, if the client had of wanted more i would have tried to persuade otherwise if they still wanted more i would have asked why and what the problem with it was if they still want it more i still wouldn't have taken any more out but probably done a small (10-15%) reduction
  14. Took this dead ash down today in a back garden, it has obviously been ring barked:thumbdown:, but did this kill it or did something else get it first there was some unusual colourations in the wood when ringed up but to this happen to all deadwood?

  20. Ah i see what you mean now yeh the bulge, or the ears as i've heard hama call them, or the union was from what i could see in tip/top condition, looked solid, but i'm still only a novice and learning in hindsight should've got some nice piccies of the stem as it was a beastie!
  21. the main fork of concern? not sure what you mean? we don't get a look at the report and how/why the decision has been made to do the work, just a description of the work that needs doing.
