  4. everything i've watched with him as a presenter makes me sit up and listen passion and enthusiasm can go along way to inspire and provoke people into doing something great with their lives!

  6. Anybody watch this? Just watched episode 2:Stardust on the iplayer and am awestruck! Just makes you think how small we are in the scale of time and how lucky we are to be here at all. Brian Cox, the presenter is so enthusiastic about the whole thing that enthusiasm just rubs off and the whole program is enthralling Definately an eyes open moment:thumbup1:
  7. I general, in the arb industry as a whole or even indeed in life, is the saying knowledge is power more prevalent, or should it be a case of ignorance is bliss? Is a case of knowing too much a bad thing or should we all try to learn and understand more? Ii know its not as simple as to choose between the two but if it where me i'd go for knowledge over ignorance!

  9. Just watched a lecture by david lonsdale on ancient/veteran trees and tree decay, twas very interesting and i have learned a lot:thumbup: i may even go out and take some piccyes now and join in:lol:

  12. Thanks, everything is being considered, but at present even though i do feel i have a good idea here, and have started drawings of mechanisms, uni comes first the summer will be time for this:thumbup:

  18. tell you what jammy, was in a lime the other day (not a big one), it was being reduced but we were a bit short for time so two of us went up. i was reducing the last limb on my way down about 10-12ft off the floor and my pal stood on the branch i was anchored into....... crack, branch just held but i tell you what, you've never seen me move so quick:lol: who needs a SJ when you've got work colleagues hey:thumbup:

  21. i never seem to be able to get the VT just right, so i made my own hitch up:thumbup: although i would love to try the SJ! especially if it makes me that quick:lol:
