  5. the first one, the bark, i'm going to guess a young Acer campestre but that is a guess, the second lot i think are Picea sp., possibly P. omorika or P. smithiana

  16. a few, and my knowledge of tree parts help me search on the internet too:thumbup: i tend to use scientific sites and interpret leaf and needle and flower form from technical names rather than pictures, then when i think i have a candidate i'll use google images to see if i'm right:biggrin: tis hard going sometimes but it is much needed practice, especially when the rarer trees come up:thumbup:

  23. Took the kids to see this last night at the Lowry in Salford on the recommendation that it was a good show from parents who'd been before. Had no idea what it was and didn't even think to look up anything about it. Turns out Slava, is a russian clown and his snowshow is a very very very good spectacle of a show:thumbup: I don't know about the kids who giggled all the way through but i had one of the best times on a night out in a long time and there was no alcohol involved! If anybody ever gets the chance to go watch him in your area or even in another country i can thoroughly recommend it, you will have a blast!!   24. The flowers! Its a Clerodendrum sp., not sure which one though so going to go with C. tricotomum cv.
